How many people do you think took your safety quiz seriously?

Several did take the quiz.

As expected they were not the people that constantly whine and moan about cutting Heath.

The top whiner/moaners about the Cowboys Safeties refused to take the quiz.

We would all like to replace Crawford and Heath with All-Pros, but until the team finds better players that can remain available to play, then Crawford/Heath were good enough to get them to the playoffs.

The complaints should be about players that have NOT managed to replace Crawford/Heath.

I remember reading through it. That's why I asked how many he thought took it seriously. I may be wrong or have missed it but I don't remember anyone really trying to even answer it.

I answered it. I wanted to hear his answers. And they were interesting.

How often does this team actually have open competition for vets that are established leaders? JJ might as well give them tenure and be done with it. I'm not surprised he hasn't been beaten out of a spot. Even old man With is back with open arms and he lost a few steps. JJ hangs on to his favorites regardless.

I don't see it yet. Somebody has got to unseat him from the roles he fills. We're only talking 7mil salary.

What's your DT pass rush rotation?

Crawford, Collins, Hill. We were light on pass rushing DTs, but now we're ok. Dump Crawford and we're light again.

And I expect Crawford to start in the base at RDE. Quinn is more of a pass rush specialist. Unless Gregory? That could be.

Great put Crawford in on D-End on 1st down like they did against the Rams. They passed a lot when he was in there and he never even got a fingertip on Goff, stupidest thing I ever saw. You wanna rotate him at the 3-tech that's fine but it's expensive.

Look up their stats last year. And then their contracts. And then get back to me. The truth is the truth. I've done my homework on Tyrone Crawford, unlike people who just want to rush to defend him because he currently wears the star on his helmet.

And it's not "hate", it's calling an overpaid role player exactly what he is.

Homework?
As of yesterday, you thought he wasn't even a starter:

"Show me others teams paying non-starters $10 million a year. It's not good business and it's a poor return on investment."

But, in reality, he has started the last 74 of 76 games he has played in.

Tell me the truth, did he bully you as a kid or something?

Are you doing this again? So you are taking a game in which our entire defense got their butts kicked and you are using it to rip on him?

Should we trade DLaw? Let LVE go? Smith? Cut him! He played poorly in the playoff game! They all suck!

You tell me the truth? Do you actually consider this guy an actual starter?

That will tell me all I need to know.

And he's was flat out destroyed in the running game a season well in that game. Far worse than any of the other defensive linemen. It's on tape, but nobody trying to defnd him wants to go back and see the truth. And this is nothing new, Andrew Whitworth has owned him the last two times he's faced him, stolen his lunch money. But that's what always happens when Crawford lines up against starting OT's, he gets abused and is a total non-factor. That's the awful truth that some fans can't admit.

At the end of the day, he's an overpaid rotational defensive lineman that has no business whatsoever playing RDE. At best, he's a nickel interior pass rusher and backup 3T, because Maliek Collins beat him out for that job. And some people will still try to justify his salary.

He's so bad when I see his number jog out onto the field it makes me sick.

I won't go that far, but I will say that I roll my eyes whenever they line him up at RDE. Just play with 10 guys out there and be done with it! It's like playing the game with one arm tied behind your back.

I would never take Gregory off the field for Crawford, period. They were acting like Crawford was a big run stopper or the opposing teams wouldn't see the base defensive alignment and pass on it. I'd rather see Armstrong or Taco rotate there if need be.

Anyone but Crawford

Well it's sure tough to truly know what you have in these young defensive ends when they can't get on the field, isn't it?

Your first round draft pick in Taco is inactive while you're trotting Crawford out there to get 0 sacks at RDE. Armstrong hardly plays, but you're trotting Crawford out there at RDE. And now the team has added two more guys at defensive end, as well as their top pick being a 3-technique defensive tackle. Now you tell me where Crawford fits at this point? Much less fits enough to cost $7 million in salary and near $10 million in overall cost? It's just dumb. A progress stopper and a guy taking up a roster spot on a loaded defensive line who doesn't truly fit anywhere.

There are simply too many numbers on the defensive line to keep everybody, and you either change things up, or you cut a guy before you ever have the chance to actually see what he can do for you, there's no other way around it. People need to do the math.

I have looked at contracts. And no, he hasn't played above those, not since he signed a deal befitting a player he never became.

We kept the wrong Crawford at the wrong price. The Falcons got more out of Jack Crawford, at 1/3rd the cost. And that's what Tyrone is, a nice rotational guy that should be paid and regarded that way. Because that's who and what he is.
He plays up to current market value and so cutting him would be dumb by the FO

But when you refuse to bring in real competition the fault is on the FO as well.
