It's good to be a QB these days!

You must be thinking of someone else. Bey was drafted in 2009...that was the year we didnt have a first...because somebody thought it was a good idea to trade that pick for Roy Williams...remember?

Nope. 2010 was Thomas year.

Denver took him #22 and Dez went #24.

Both the Broncos and the Cowboys traded up to draft their receivers.

He is also likely waiting out the Josh Gordon stuff.
Dez wants to be a certain starter I'm sure even more than he cares about the salary.

See Randy Moss for why situation and such can reboot a naturally talented WRs career.
2 poor years in Oakland robbed him of value so he took 3M to play for the Pats and turned that into a ring plus another almost 30M in career earnings.
Patriots didn't win a ring with Moss, that's the year they went undefeated and lost to the Giants

The last big play. Irvin was put in a sleeper hold right in front of the ref and rogers. He had his man beat. Was gonna hurry the throw or sack.

Why do you think all these new rules are being invented? They want to be able to dictate outcomes even more

Maybe he just wants a better situation, not necessarily the money? Either way its his decision to make, its easy for the white collar types who are just observing to call him delusional over what they dont know.
If Dez has adequate money in the bank he may decide to hang it up

Well this is our window regardless, once we sign Dak, Tank (I hope) and Zeke (best RB in the NFL but still not worth it after year 5) to contracts, it will be that much harder to keep good players. Get it done in the next two years before the cap attrition sets in.

Yep. Enjoy it while you can. It's not always going to be this sweet.

If you’re not Belichick, Super Bowl wins are hard to come by. But Garrett’s had or tied for the best record in the NFC twice in the past four years. With two different QBs.

We need to stop pretending that the team with the best coaching wins the Super Bowl. It’s often not the case.

Just like you need to stop pretending that two good seasons out of 7 (and with limited playoff success) is a good track record for a coach having been on the job for 7 years.

A few seasons a ago when he was healthy and Dez wasn't sure but last year no he wasn't. Last year he was marginally better than Bryant with more targets.

Thomas would cost you 12M this year and another 2.2 to cut him.
So you'd eat 14.2M for one season.
That's not good or fruitful for a team viewing the picture long term.

Uhhh, yeah, Thomas was better last year than Dez. And that was with worse QB play. Unless you are going to try to argue Denver’s QBs were as good as Dak.

Garrett does have a good track record. He took several bad teams to .500, while building a competitive team overall. So many of you guys put the emphasis for a team really succeeding in completely the wrong place.

Lol. We’re not trading for D. Thomas at roster cut downs.

Do some of you guys even watch how this team operates?

h I remember entire thread turning on Jones for not being pro active finding finding a back up center

At times, it's like it wasn't so long ago that the vast majority of the CZ website members leaned toward optimism.

And then the dream ends. That's what happens, when we grow older. Even distant memories seem fairly recent.

As often as not nowadays, when practically the entire membership acts like it's the apocalypse, I elect to sign off.
