Many of you are upset.
I'm not.
You could see this coming a mile away. But the ones of us who could were called "haters" and "not real fans" because we didn't buy into the rah-rah-cis-coom-bah rhetoric.
All along I've said ...
1. McCarthy will cost us a game based on his time management and his lack of situational awareness
2. Kellen Moore isn't the boy wonder Cowboys fans think he is
3. Dak is a good quarterback, but one who isn't going to win unless he has a SUPER team built around him
4. Zeke isn't the back he used to be and is unreliable (takes himself out of the game too often for my taste)
5. and that this is an undisciplined team.
The pattern has been set. And it's difficult to deviate from patterns once they're established.
So I've tempered my expectations to what is reality, which is, the Dallas Cowboys are a good team, just not a Super Bowl-caliber team. We can make the playoffs based on a very weak division. But we won't beat the elite teams we need to beat to get to the NFC Championship much more the Super Bowl.
We don't have the players, the coaches or the ownership.
But we'll be back next year with hope that springs eternal, with visions of Super Bowl dancing in our heads, with homeristic fans proclaiming that they see a Super Bowl next year.
Same ole, same ole. Wash, rinse, dry, repeat.
For 26 years and counting.
