Weeden is complete trash. He's almost as bad as Brad Johnson which was the absolute worse qb I've ever seen under center for the Cowboys.

I would even take Vinny tombstone testy over this abomination.

Soooo this is why I never thought much of Brandon Weeden. That was basically Cleveland's Brandon Weeden, and today, he couldn't use the excuse, "Well, this is Cleveland." The dude isn't an NFL QB. Can we all finally agree on that?

Yeah, I had a major meltdown when I found out Jerry had signed Weeden. He did exactly what he did today when he played for the Browns. It just so happened the Browns were on national TV late last season a few times, kind of like the Jets were early this season, and he was really bad. I think everyone thought his career in the NFL was over when the Browns cut him. But, he's our QB now, so we all we can do is hope he can improve.

This was a classic Bill Parcells game. He wins this by field goal.

In other news, RGIII still sucks!!

Possibly. Running the ball inside the 20 and playing for FGs could have made the game different.

Still not overly impressed with Arizona. They did enough to win but they left us in this game way too long with an inept backup QB.

Thus people here saying we could have won this game if Romo was in there playing.

Who thought he could he play?

someone paid him

I'm not sure who all thought he could play. I just remember it was plural.

The thing with Weeden is that he can be so hot and cold. We saw it in the preseason when he came out in game one and looked really good, and then looked worse each week thereafter. That's exactly what I was worried about, too.

We were without any options on offense most of the day once they shut down the run. Frustrating to watch.

Weeden seems to lack accuracy and touch. And pocket awareness. And field vision. And... yeeeeesh.

He appears so far to be a fastball pitcher with no offspeed, curve, or ability to paint a corner in his acumen.

That's what happens when you don't have your franchise QB out there. I'd imagine it's similar with most teams who lose one.

I don't know. Arizona won a couple of games without Palmer and Philly won with Foles out of the game. Your backup should at least keep you competitive.

#1 pick should be the QB of the future. Romo is on borrowed time with that back, and scrubs won't do it.

yeah,i am coming around to this even though we cant ignore the D anymore, without a stable QB situation the NFC will not be won.

We have no chance without Romo, because our offensive coaching staff really gives us nothing to compensate.

Not a single damn play action today. Even when Murray had 18 rushes for like 80 yards. These guys are clueless. Arizona didn't respect the pass at all and the team showed why.

Weeden stunk. Coaches always stink. Romo has covered Garretts behind for years

The fact the Jags are the next team is why Romo needs has to play it if possible. That game should be a gimme and it's not with Tony recovering in sweats.

Cowboys botched the backup QB situation big-time! Can't control what Orton did but out of ALL the options, Weeden was the best one? I know we couldn't afford much but come on...

Who would you have preferred?

Agree with you here. If we would have taken care of the ball in the redzone and ran it we would have come away with better results. I don't know why we take out Murray during the times when we need him the most? It just baffles me.....
