Incomplete. They missed the review. Should have been 3rd and 11 rather than a quick play and 12 men on the field 1st and 10 at the 11.

Was this as he was falling out of bounds after already getting the right foot down clean and tapping with the left or before? Too hard to tell in this still, I thought it was a clean catch watching on the tv

So the performance of your backup QB is dependent on how good your starting QB is?

Brandon Weeden sucks whether he's backing up Peyton Manning or Geno Smith.
No, my point is those teams are better team minus their QB than we are.

This isn't all on Weeden, IMO - the line wasn't giving him much time and we still have defensive players coming through untouched all too often.

I can't recall a more inept performance by a #2 QB. This guy has started in 20+ games and seemingly couldn't complete anything more than 10 yds or find an open receiver to save his life. He had 100 yds and 2 picks with a less than 50% completion percentage before garbage time.

My goodness this stood out like a sore thumb during the game. Weeden would literally lock onto a single receiver just about every time. Totally stared down the intended WR. It was truly awful.

for whatever reason, the front office stood pat when it became obvious Orton was not returning and Weeden was the clear #2.

I could drive the Redsk*ns team bus through the hole between 'complaining about literally everything' and 'rooting for mediocrity,' ShiningStar.

Hey that bus driver job may be open. :D

But equally you can say they're better teams as they can win with inferior QB play.

We need Romo to be on top of his game week in, week out, even with Murray doing what he's doing.

And it's been that way for a long time.

I don't think we need Romo to be on top of his game day in and day out. I think our O is good enough with a bus driver. Weeden is not a bus driver. There's absolutely no reason to keep him on the team. Why bother? We have enough talent to win. We just need someone who can make a few throws and keep the D from crowding the LOS.

But we can't continue to ignore the QB position thinking that Romo will be around forever. Isn't this the same mistake we made with Aikman's replacement? There simply can't be that HUGE a dropoff between Romo and his replacement. Heck, the Iggles won with Mark Sanchez.

He was a baseball pitcher, and it shows. :)

This is what scares me the most. How in the world does a team like the Cowboys look at film and never notice this? Do they think all of a sudden it will right itself? They should call this WeedenGate.

I wanted to watch this Bronco/Patriots game so bad but not sure if I can look at football right now after the Cowboy game. Why Weeden, WHY!?

Meh. I expected to lose a closer game this week, without Tony. But I gotta say, I'm not thrilled with out quickly our fan support for the Cowboys unraveled. Not looking forward to this week.

Also, holding my breath on the defensive injuries now. Man, I hate the effect of injuries on the NFL season. They change the trajectory of the whole league.

Aikman named like 6 guys Arizona was missing, but they still find a way to win.

Philly just beat the Texans with freaking Mark "butt fumble" Sanchez at QB.

Injuries are part of the game, the best teams find a way to win with backups, the rest just complain..........................it appears we are in that second group.

This is whats scary about Weeden. He does nothing but lock onto receivers. He doesn't have a progression like ALL QBs do. Anyone QB in the NFL has a progression. He doesn't and thats really scary.

I would rather have Dustin Vaughn in there and see what he can do.

One day, Dallas really has to use a high draft pick on a QB. They should really stop using mid round picks on safety projects from small schools.

How did he make it out of training camp?
