Defence started balling once we moved to the 3 rush front.. Dlaw was absolutely dominate and player of the game for me. I hate Jones at safety.. like hate, hate, hate.. but he looks serviceable as a corner. I'd play him corner permanently from here out. Heath is a liability on deep throws.. liability.

Offence is where our money is and where we will detemine the success of games and season. They struggled big time in the first half, and most of the third quarter by Cardinals selling out against runs up the middle. We tried to send Zeke wide a couple of times but he is lacking the zip to get to the outside. He is an explosing runner through holes, but he will struggle to expose the edge. We gave switzer one try.. I'd like to see a bit more.

The field goal miss changed the game because Cards dropped their heads and also the field position flip was good. On that, we had pretty decent field position most of our drives.

We have learnt that Dak throws a lot (and I mean a lot) better on the run. This is how he won it last year and this is what he needs to do again this year. I almost feel like we tried to make him something he is not and it is not working for us. His two really big plays came from the fact that Cardinals were all in the box and sold completely on the Zeke inside run.. leaving Dak to roll out and wait for an open target. The amazing thing (suprise!) about hitting two passes.. is then they had to drop 1-2 out of the box or at least the MLB was hesitating at the line... this then opened up some Zeke carries.. and then the pass action game opens up and then the read option becomes easy yards...

And therein lies the problem.. Dak isn't a pocket passer and he isn't a deep threat. The support cast is where the game is won and lost. Dak will get the headlines and Gruden will drool and we will praise the almighty.. but this game was salvaged when Dez ran through 4 defenders and got across the line.. when Twill made a hands catch on the back of zeke ripping a 15 yarder.. and suddenly the defence was on the back foot. DLaw kept us in the game but nullifying their passing game and making it more manageable.

Dak as the bus driver is going to win us a lot of games.. so use him as that. Roll him out.. hit a couple of passes and free up the space for Zeke to run and then get the pass action/read option going.. pretty simple and uncomplicated. I hope it doesn't take us until the 4th quarter to work it out next week!!

Lewis was stellar all around. Jones made key plays. Front seven did a better job in tackling from last week. Getting pressure with just three might have us on to something. I recall us having some success vs GB in Lambeau last season.

On offense, we need to let the season take it's course and not want to switch things up on the Oline. As the season goes along, it wouldn't surprise me to see Collins and Green getting more comfortable. On top of new positions, they're also dealing with 8 men up in the box.

Overall, we just need to allow time to take its course with our young DBs and the new spots on the Oline where Collins and Green are playing. Good game. The adjustments were made and we finished that game off in a big way getting the TD.

28-17. Beat the spread. Dak looked great in the second half. The whole team did.

DLaw is elite all of a sudden.

The Woods/Jones combo is intriguing.

Last year I was expecting big things out of Dlaw but I guess the suspension hurt him more than we thought. He looks amazing now. Guess what Trouty? We fixin to get Irving back too!! Our Dline is looking legit so far.

I knew you wouldn't let us down

He is what I've said he is. A game manager. He was awful tonight. Again. 13 completions. Is this high school?

You're not going to win too many games this way. We need to run a legitimate pro offense at some point.
