Why is it whenever the offense gets a big drive, the defense gives up a huge play on the drive immediately after.

this is what happens when you don't get to the QB

On a 3 step drop, it's hard to get to the QB. We have to make the QB hold the ball for at least 3 or 4 secs coverage wise.
