Stephen Jones said that a quarterback will realistically be on the bench for 3 seasons. Has a rookie quarterback picked in the top 5 ever sat for 3 seasons? Romos contract makes it so restrictive to make an investment. By the time Romo is off the team, we have to decide if we want to pick up a fifth year option on a guy that has hardly seen the field.

I always root for my cowboys to win...I'm not going to waste my Sunday rooting for the Commanders. If the Cowboys lose, I won't be mad so it's a win win.

Aaron Rogers sat for 3 years on the bench. It worked out well for GB. You can argue the worst thing for a rookie QB is starting too soon.

No kidding. Peterson was taller, came into the Combine 20 pounds heavier, and still ran a 4.3.

Dude was built like a safety and had blazing speed and covering skills. Hargreaves isn't near that.

He's also only 5'9. Maybe slightly less. I like the player, but I'm not taking a short and light CB where we are drafting.
