Game Day ***Cowboys vs Dolphins Post game thread***

Still a lot of football to be played. Cowboys play another quality opponent next week in the Lions. Then I believe it's the Commodes on the road. I think the Cowboys win both and carry that momentum into the playoffs. I think they get to the NFCCG. At that point I admit it will be tough but you never know. SF just looks so strong right now. Not sure anyone can beat them.

If the Cowboys continues to play like crap on the road, the Cowboys are not going to the NFC Championship game so stop getting your hopes up

I aint even upset. It's because of two two-word phrases: Merry Christmas and Managed Expectations.
Christmas is bigger than a Cowboys' loss, and the nose dive we've hit seems to be par for the course. I've seen it so many times, I've learned to fit my expectations to what I've seen over and over for nearly 30 years.
I'll change my expectations IF we get to the NFC Championship Game, which I doubt we will.
Right now, I'm in chill mode, and it's not because it's winter.

If I had to complain about some fundamental flaws with the team I would point to the run defense and run offense. In most of the losses, they revolve around that. The offseason efforts should revolve around that.

On top of that you have nearly 30 years of sloppiness. They lead the league in penalties. Again. A lot of it is just stupid. Add in the completely unforced fumble at the 1 and that's ballgame. This is the part that makes me think the team will never get over the hump. This all started when Jerry fired Jimmy. The Packers weren't this sloppy under McCarthy. This lack of discipline is due to some issue that Jerry creates. He is the only constant.

why are you guys so sure the eagles will get divison? eagles playing like **** too
Two games against the Giants and one against the Commanders.

Both of those teams are playing for next year, meaning they won't be playing to win, but like in preseason, evaluating players and trying out new plays.

Meanwhile Dallas plays a Lions team that's 11-4 and still has a possibility to get home field in the playoffs.

But that's fine, we'll know in 3 weeks....

Go check Amari Coopers stats. Look at last year. Then look at this season thru 15 games. Then look at what he did just TODAY. IMHO Dallas chose wrong in 2021 with Galllup and Coop. Really wrong!!!

Ah, superonyx is back with his usual blind homer posts

How is that Garrett love working out for you?
I'm glad you remembered my name. Unfortunately you confused me with someone else you must enjoy fighting with since I was always a JG detractor not a fan.

It's called perspective and life. We are a good team who can win or lose vs anyone in this league honestly.

It doesn't change the reality that someone attacking someone for having a healthy perspective is more of a reflection on your own life and values than the person who wishes to be happy and wish others a merry christmas.

I hope all is well with you and your family also. Life is so short and as many elderly people ive had the pleasure of chatting with, none have ever told me they wish they could have spent more time being angry with a football team.

Because the Cowboys will find a way to play just bad enough to not take advantage of it. They are putting on a clinic on that subject the last two games in a row.

Most definitely.

You make the cap work and try to win a title.

I watched the defense give up 13 points in the first half while the offense sleepwalked through the game. I’m sick of hearing these wack a** excuses. “Offense is what it is”, that TO at the goal line ended up being the difference in the game. “It is what it is” though.
It is. We’re an average offense on the road, unstoppable at home. Defense can’t get a stop ever when it matters if the opposition decides to run. It’s not either/or. Both need work.

We **might** win the first round on the road, then there is zero chance we win a road playoff game. I’ve said the same thing since the Arizona loss as have all realistic fans. This isn’t rocket science. It’s as predictable as the tide.
