Cowboys vs Eagles ***Official Game Thread***

About the only thing worth watching are those cheerleaders. I've determined our team has decided to take today off in preparation for the Detroit game.

We get the ball at the start of the second half. Only one dumb mistake separates the teams at this point. It will come down to who makes the plays in the second half.

Signed, Captain Obvious.

2nd half......I ONLY want to see JJ. Also, when you play not to lose..........you usually do just that....LOSE.

actually, I wanted them to open up the passing game... The running game wasn't really doing anything and the pass protection WAS doing decently until the last couple of possessions. If they had taken advantage of the pass protection earlier instead of trying to rush through that stout Iggle line, the Cowboys could've been in position to score some more. Instead, they got nothing on the ground and dinky dump passes. Now that the pass protection is breaking down, I don't see how they're going to put together any drives...

I'm still trying to figure out the game-plan.

The players were afraid of walking into a hornets nest, so they play it the way they feel.

What happened to the "punch them in the mouth philosophy" that they admitted to having the first time around?

They better come up with something this half...I'm not liking what I'm seeing so far.

Take away that one long pass to Price and the Eagles have completely dominated. I really don't see that changing too much in the 2nd half. We just have to be opportunistic and convert on scoring chances when they're available. The defense MUST make some plays in the Eagles offensive backfield.

I think we need to hit Peerless & Glenn on play action...Dawkins & Lewis don't have the speed to make plays deep...
Witten needs to be there & JJ more PT...

Dead on. Open up the pass and the run works. Now its protect and let the D tire them out.

IT AINT WORKING !!.....

all 3 of your comments were right on.....

I hear that. Dan Campbell was qouted about the whole hornets nest thing too. Why did they go into this game so tentatively?!

Yes, we looked flat and we seemed to be slipping alot on that turf...

The MNF stat says Reid hasn't lost in 22 games where they ahve led at 1/2...
We need to make some plays if were going to stop that trend..

I pray that they jinxed it like they jinxed the Cowboys in the Commanders game (with the graphic showing how Parcells basically didn't lose with a big lead in the 4th quarter...)

i think we just need to control the LOS. Run the ball, get some firsts, throw deep on play action.

Tire that D out. More importantly, the Cowboys need to dictate the pace of the game. The eagles are doing that right now

What the hell kind of first half performance was that? This team has no energy. They have made one play the whole game (Price), can't run the ball, can't pressure McNabb and allow Philly about 5 yds per carry. This is very disappointing. This team does not look ready to play at all. Very frustrating. This team needs to show some balls, stop *****ing and moaning and sack up and win a game in Philly for a change if they want to be taken seriously. Better see some mighty good 2nd half adjustments. That 1st half was unacceptable.

It's time for the defense to put pressure on McNabb and we need to force some to's

shanle and james HAVE TO STEP UP. Though Philly's running game ain't explosive, it has been effective at eating up the clock.

Because we're losing by 7 points at halftime against the Eagles at home? In a must win game for them? I would have killed for this the last couple of years.

Did you have this game circled as a win on your schedule when the season started?

A lot has changed since the season started.

We are playing a wounded team that was doubting itself and we let them come out and kick our arse all over the field. It is just disappointing.

My feelings about the inadequacy of our OL go back to the start of the season. For all the accolades they've drawn, Bledsoe was amongst the league leaders in sacks and we have one of the poorest rushing averages in the league.

dallas 102 yards total o. take away price's 58 yards and it's ugly. How did we beat this team the 1st time? Throw the ball down the field

They've been trying to do that... There wasn't any running room for the backs. If anything, they should've used the pass to setup the run since the pass protection was good at the time. Now that the pass protection is starting to falter, I don't see how they're gonna get anything against the Iggle D...
