***Cowboys vs falcons 2nd half thread***

I'm late to this thread as I was replying in the other........copying it over.

I think Red just wants to say in the presser that he tried to run the ball but it wasnt working so he called the next 47 plays as shotgun.

Run/pass isn't even the issue I have.

I have an issue with being stupid and asking your weak OL who can't even win against 4-man fronts a decent amount of time to all of a sudden be able to get push when the defense loads up and stacks 7-8 guys right on top of the line.

It's just ridiculous. You have to know your own weaknesses and strengths. Simply saying "execute" isn't going to cut it if your players aren't steady enough.

Garrett has this master plan of a "system" where he basically just forces players into positions they can't handle and he has very little ability to utilize the aspects that certain players he has excel at.

Martellus Bennett was almost never used in the Redzone which is exactly where he should have been used.

Kevin Ogletree and Dez can't mentally grasp the playbook. Instead of simplifying their roles, he pounds home the "execution" mantra.

Sometimes is not about the players executing. Sometimes it's about the coaches executing and putting their players in the best possible position to succeed.

Does anyone think that Harbaugh's prototypical QB for his system is Alex Smith? Hell no but he works with Smith, utilizing his strengths and relying on minimizing mistakes.

Jason is forcing players into his system when he should be building his system around the players he has.

Good game both teams moving the chains but when it counts def's are holding up to force FGs.

Romo lucky Robinson got a flag on Witten. Cause that was a INT even without the penalty. He should have two INTs. Romo probably couldve scored on that 3rd and goal too.

Falcons are daring Garrett to run play action. All bunched up at the LOS on first down. EVERY first down. Seems like the NFL has Garrett tendencies and what he wont do on lock. Dallas HC in 2013 is on the DEF side of the ball

And on the beasley catch I could of sworn he made the first we might should of challenged that. Or are we saving those too? Garrett sucks at coaching.

Sorry if I missed this earlier, either in first half thread or another thread earlier in the week - was too busy watching the game or didn't notice it earlier in the week. So media blew the whole Dez staying out past curfew a huge deal, but he asked for permission and it was with his teammates? Jeez... I hate the Dallas media.

They never showed a replay of the Beasley play. But yeah, it sure looked like it should have been a first down. The refs continue to mess up spotting the ball. But why in world didn't we challenge it (assuming it was a first down)?

I did and i was wrong. Looked smart opening day and in '09 but he's just a stupid tease.

I don't know why he hasn't been taught, or refuses to catch the ball with his hands.

I'm sick and tired of seeing it bounce off his chest.

High school players are taught to catch with their hands. This guy is in the nfl and he still doesn't

He was just short. Someone does need to challenge Garrett's use of the Jumbo package though. It's awful and a continual drive killer.

Yeah, the offense is going to have to put up some points. Falcons have moved the ball on nearly every possession, but we have tightened up the closer they get to the red zone.

We had two possessions there where we needed to come away with touchdowns.

They're saying the same thing right now, at least.

Agree with everything except Romo being able to get into the endzone on that 3rd down play.

The LB was basically a yard deep into the endzone and Romo was at like the 6 or 7.

He's not making it in.
