For those who have been asking for Garrett to be given credit for building this team, who gets the blame for ignoring the back up QB position and dreaming that anyone can run behind this OL?

We had huge injuries but this game was in hand and we let a hobbled Julio jones and a back up 5-8 RB torch us to the tune of almost 400 (yes, 400) yards and multiple TDs

And there were no adjustments from us

NONE

Terrance Williams posted a tweet after the game. Not going to post the pic because of the forum rules on vulgarity, but it read (and I quote):

Talk **** all you want about me all y'all want I'LL REMEMBER IT

He has since deleted the tweet. But T-Will just seems like an immature guy. It's bad enough he has stone hands, but apparently he's mentally fragile too. Dez can't get back soon enough.

You were expecting adjustments?

When the hell has Garrett ever adjusted to jack during a game?

We usually just rely on Romo to make adjustments at the line.........................no Romo, no adjustments................see scoreboard

Anyone notice that the winning QB didn't throw downfield either? Ryan--24 completions for 285; Weeden--22 completions for 232. The difference is Jones was open short and across the middle all game, and he has the skill to do something with those short receptions. Weeden was not the problem today; as a backup QB, he did well enough to win.

How about you remember to catch the ball, before remembering tweets.

I picked us to lose by 11 and I picked Weeden to dink and dunk and for Julio and Matty Ice to pick us apart. Should have done the Vegas thing today. We are just about predictable. I hope we are still in contention when Romo gets back.. Weeden looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane.

He needs to shut up. Talk is cheap. He's our #1 receiver now. He needs to act like it.

My real fear is that we will go 3-5 or something like that: too good for a high draft pick, not good enough to make the playoffs or matter when we get there.

I think we only win 1-2 games while Romo is out. I don't think we end up with the 1st pick, but we will be up there.

I am thinking Tampa Bay and maybe the Saints if Brees does not play...............other than that, I don't see too many Ws on the horizon.

Weeden was told not to lose the game. Well, one INT didn't do that.

I wondered why they didn't open up the offense more but I suspect they thought we'd make a TO or so and make a couple of stops. Then you can run the ball more.

They need to get Cassel ready.

With our DEs, Dez and Romo we win this game and likely pretty easily.

IMO they didn't chance too many deep throws due to a lack of trust in Weeden being accurate and our receiver possibly not catching it or tipping it up into a defender's hands.

So, before the game, everyone was totally down on Weeden....he's done nothing in the NFL.
Then, he executes the game plan, is extremely accurate on all but two throws, and leads the offense to 28 points without Dez, and all people do is gripe that he didn't throw the ball deep.

Geez...he's a freakin' backup QB with very little talent at receiver. So people think Romo would have thrown deep without Dez and with Trufont blanketing TWill. Some of you seem to think Atlanta played a different D in the second half because the 28 points put up marching up and down the field finally convinced them that they had no reason to fear Weeden to Williams deep!? Ummmm, do you think they played a half against our crappy wideouts without Dez afraid of us going deep? That's one of the dumbest ideas I've heard.

That's the Atlanta defense....a single high safety and crowd the line...that's all they've done in three games. Did the LBs maybe creep up because we were bashing them running? Sure, but it's not like they had an extra player to run up there. They never stopped playing a safety over the top. That means the 8th guy in the box, a DB had to cover the TE on pass plays or cover a receiver if 3 wideouts or they had to go nickel/dime.

Their DL beat our OL in the 2nd half...they got off blocks and got penetration and collapsed the pocket significantly more in the second half.

I don't believe for a second that Romo would have forced the ball downfield to Williams and Street...no way. What he likely would have done better is audible out of some runs to passes or vice versa better. No surprise there...he's a franchise QB. We apologists are not arguing that Weeden should be a starting QB for anyone, but to blame the backup QB for a loss when the only real argument is he didn't drive the ball downfield with T Will drawing attention that would usually be on Dez is just crazy.

I can assure you Weeden IS likely to crash and burn and lose us some games before Romo returns, but this wasn't one of them. If you'd told me before the game or any upcoming games that Weeden would perform as he did today, I'd take it...you get that from a backup QB and a lack of weapons, I assume that gives us a chance to win a few games.

This was about poor execution in the run game the second half and a Defense that had only 2-3 decent players in the front 7....no pressure and couldn't stop the run.

I like our chances vd TB and NO. I like our matchup vs NY since we have two weeks to prep for them. We play NY better in their house some reason. Philly doesn't have the weapons to beat us anymore or a QB that can make their offense gel. Their QBs either play scared and have accuracy issues. We have them pegged. Without Romo, it'll be tough and close since they're stingy with the run it'll be up to our passing game to move us down the field.

Romo didn't make him. Well it's not completely Romo. Dez has a lot to do with it. He's Alvin Harper lite. Needs Dez out there drawing the best defender and double coverage.
