I'm not even going to attempt to make any excuses for this team. They're very poorly coached and have fallen apart without two players, although very important players. How can a team that HAD to have a win and had two weeks to prepare execute so poorly! Penalties, terrible turnovers, and pathetic special teams play. Signs of a VERY unprepared team.

You knew that would happen though, right?

Next will be the "Play Moore. He can't be any worse than Weeden or Cassel" argument. Can't wait.

4 turnovers and they lose by 7. That means somethings went right (or at least OK).

Defense gave up just 3pts in the 2nd half. the defense did their job in the 2nd half. They folded against ATL and NE, but in this game they stood strong enough.

It really is on Cassel and the special teams.

NYG's 1st half was: Punt, TD, Punt, FG.
NYG's 2nd half was: FG, Punt, Punt.

The defense played well. I don't want to lose sight of that in this loss.

1 season out of 5 with a winning record does call into question the direction of the organization and team.

That's a fair statement, especially considering our current status. However, to say last year was a fluke is not fair. If it were not for our current status (key injuries), are you willing to concede that we would not be leading the division and be considered a serious contender, if it were not for the injuries? I know I'm not. Therefore, we were a damn good team last year and would have been fully capable of duplicating or even surpassing what we acomplished last year. To me, that doesn't spell fluke.

Last season is looking like an anomaly. I remember all the glee over Chip Kelley's demise after the Eagles game, but a few weeks later, it's looking like the joke is really on Garrett.

I believe last year was an anomaly, however it does illustrate just what an outstanding QB Romo is with the players and coaches he has had to put up with.

Look, with 60+ plays a game, you're always going to have some plays better than others. And you're always going to have plays you want back. That goes for both teams, and it's the case with every game that's ever been played in the NFL. What I'm saying is that we didn't lose this game because of those calls.

We lost the game because of the 4 turnovers and the ST touchdown. Of the turnovers, the pick 6 was not a great decision but it's mostly a great play by the DB combined with a WR not coming back aggressively enough for the ball. The duck was a bad decision on the QB's part, coupled with the fact that he also overestimated his arm. The third pick was another overestimation thrown at a guy who was completeley covered over and under. None of those were on the play caller. Neither was the turnover on Teams where we had our best hands in the game for the sole purpose of not turning the ball over.

The ST touchdown we gave up was poor lane control, which I consider to be on the coaches at this point in the season, but it's not a play calling issue, regardless.

we had those problems because our coaches cant understand when a qb who cant throw deep, and they ask him to throw deep. This is the NY giants, most teams step up to play us, they play us for blood. This was not a game to screw around with. Garrett should know that by now.

If a bunch of this fan base would go the cyanide route, I'd be happy.

That being said, it's comical the Giants needed an INT returned for a TD, KR for a TD and 3 INTs, to win by 7 at home without Romo and Bryant.

Don't agree with that. Other than the duck. The other two throws were on the money. They were just into coverages that he should't have been throwing into. Or the WR didn't make the play to help the QB out.

The Giants are just a mediocre team. Everything about them screams mundane.

Serious question. What exactly has Garrett done since he's been here? Last year, with Jerry's offensive line & Linehan's play-calling, we went a long ways. But I'm trying to figure out Garrett's impact on this team.

He gives good speeches and claps a lot. We are looking for Belichick creativity in Garrett, and that will never happen.

I would take today's power running game with check downs and deep play action all day. We win by two scores imo. Boring to you but very effective and safe with good defensive play.

I like Garrett, but you have to hold him responsible for this 4 games losing streak.

The problem is they still won. End of discussion. All of that stuff is part of football the last time I checked. We choked. Yet again.

I would have, too. Once we saw it was working well. With the few wrinkles to Lucky we threw in there.

Still, though, the ST score and the ST turnover would probably have been enough to tube us. We just can't be having mistakes in those situations when we're compromised at QB in the first place.

For those automatically assuming Romo is back vs MIA keep in mind that they play 4 days later on Thanksgiving. Should we really expect a player coming off a broken collarbone to play 2 games in 5 days and do it effectively? I bet we don't see him until the holiday.

I don't think it really matters at this point. Just rest him the remainder of the year, and start again next year.
