One win against a perpetually bad team does not a season rectify.
The problem with many of us is that we're creatures of the moment. We don't need just one or two moments against under .500 teams. We need moments against the Packers and the Eagles and the Falcons and the Saints and the Rams, etc.
When we win those moments, then maybe, my optimism will return.
But please forgive me if the crapiness of 20 years without a Super Bowl appeance hover over my head like a thunder cloud causing me to embrace the inevitable futility I'll feel when it appears we're righting the S.S. Jerry.
