ESPN taking it personally that Dallas got away with the game....if the shoe were on the other foot, they wouldn't give two blanks that we lost and felt cheated....just shut the hell up about it.
Campbell is a dumb ***. Should have kicked the extra point after the penalty.

I’m already sick of the media making a big deal about who reported. I don’t care. If they screwed up which guy reported to them, it hurt the Cowboys too. It’s not like the Lions were robbed of a TD. The whole reason a lineman must report that he will be eligible is so the ref can announce it to the defensive huddle to prevent a trick play. If the ref gets it the way the lions want it, then they also tell the Cowboys defense and we pay attention to #68 instead of ignoring him and watching 70. So suck it!

My point is Philly and Detroit aren’t both winning in the first round. Just my opinion. We’d play at either Philly or Detroit. One of them will win and one will lose in the first round.
I don't have that expectation. I mean, it could happen, but we'll see how Philly is playing these next couple of weeks.

Yeah it’s gross how bias they are. Why don’t they talk about parsons getting held 92 times they won’t. There is no longer journalism in sports either.

Regardless whether he reports or not he’s still covered. Still a penalty.
ESPN has never been sports journalism. It has always been sports entertainment.

survived which is all that matters.

McCarthy needs to learn clock management. We let them back in the game by saving them 40 seconds.

Campbell is annoying

Lost in the MM clock management and "2 point Gate," I thought Dak was tremendous on the go ahead drive. Drops a DIME to Cooks and third and long. Let's not forget, down 10-13 we still had a game to win and Dak, CeeDee/Cooks delivered. It should be pointed out that we didn't abandon the run game and Pollard had several key runs to stay balanced and move the drive. Lions threw the kitchen sink at us and I thought it was a "house money" game for them. Dak made big plays all night under duress. We don't win this game without his mobility and right arm.

All the talking heads all worked up over 68 reporting "because why else would he be over there"... well why was 58 over there, no one mentions that, did he try and report?
The issue is that Detroit was trying to pull one over by having 3 linemen look like they were reporting, Skipper runs on trying to pretend he was reporting and the official believes he is reporting... The purpose of the rule is so that teams don't get and advantage by sending an unguarded linemen out for a pass.
The other thing about it is even if the official screwed up you can't punish the Cowboys for the mistake, they aren't expecting 68 to be eligible so no one guards him... if the official reports 68 as eligible then the Cowboys would have guarded him and it's just as likely Detroit doesn't make the 2 pt play anyway.
Moral of the story, don't over complicate your trickery...

We didn't need more points, we just needed to run out the clock.
Sad that needs to be pointed out to our HC.
So the way we ran the ball all game, and with the lions expecting and playing the run to use their timeouts, you think we would have run for a first down to end the game? Personally, I’ll take the 7 point lead with 1:40 left any day over the 4 point lead with maybe a minute left. I like having the 7 points. I’m guessing Mike wasn’t expecting Quinn to just pack it in and not cover anyone.

Dan Campbell said 70 and 68 reported and can't have two people report. So 70 was the one thst was deemed to have reported.

Campbell should've gone to overtime. It is what it is.
Detroit fans are pissed at Dan I promise. Gritty game requires risk sometimes to gain an edge. Both coaches did that and we survived. We learned as a team tonight that we can go to to toe against a good team which was physical, and get a win. We learned how to win a close game. Remember this game and how we won after we make a playoff run. These type of wins matter a lot in late December. That's why Dan was so pissed. He knows it. He took a risk and failed. That's coaching.
