Game Day Cowboys vs Packers post game thread

Why is this team allergic to winning? And now we have to worry about even making the playoffs next year

It seems crazy but nothing is guaranteed. We've seen sophomore slumps and teams tank. See us from 07-08.

Agreed next year I could see us struggling. It's not often you get the 1st seed. This was a golden opportunity.

There we serveral points in this game, some of which we were successful but nonetheless several times where I found my self screaming to run the ball.

Usually when we arent running enough Im pretty quiet because its a product if down and distance, NOT THIS GAME.

Yah-- frustrating to not stick with your power run identity with the season on the line.

Too cutesy for my taste. Heath really bailed us out lol... game would have been way out of hand if he doesnt make that play

Lee looked good to me. That was a horrible coverage. There was no safety help, because Lee got beat, but if you rewatch the play, the WR on the other side beat his guy, too, and it froze Barry Church. Church was in a single high, and instead of picking his poison, he just froze up. You can't expect a linebacker to carry a guy 30 yards down field.

Went right through Lee's outstretched arms... It was an amazing pass by Rodgers. I thought Lee defended it as well as you could hope for.

Sometimes you just have to credit a great play.

I don't want to defend our defense right now but I'll just say that it's been pretty good at hitting the QB for the last month.

Our gameplan today wasn't to hit Rodgers.

Well if that was the gameplan it worked to perfection.

Really. You watch this guy bring us out of a 21 to 3 hole and you are sad he will be back? There are a few players to be upset with. Byron Jones, Free,Brice Butler. Dak ain't one of em.

Even my wife, who knows absolutely nothing about football said, "Hey I thought that guy that wears number 21 is pretty good. Where is he now, suspended? Lol. Linehan lacks discipline and common sense as a play caller. I will take that to my grave.

Yep, we had our chances. Most of the mistakes imo were coaching blunders. Players had thier share though. Exceptional season and the future does look bright. I really had my hopes set on at the least being able to play in the championship game with a shot at the superbowl. Tough draw with GB and a tough loss.

It was a great year and a great opportunity-- but I believe this team has laid a foundation stone this year.

We should see some improvements on D with Jaylon and another draft/FA haul. With Dak and Zeke on offense-- we will be competitive in virtually every game we play.

We may not win 13 games again-- but I expect we will be a contender for the next few years.

I dont necessarily believe the league would conspire against the Cowboys, but I 100% believe there are officials that are against the success of the Cowboys. Sure they missed some holds against MC, but that is common in every game. You will be hard pressed to find a mauling that was put on Irving not called in past games.

No doubt they missed calls on the GB oline, not having any kind of penalty on the GB o line is insane. But as you said, they also missed 2 clear penalties on Mo, one of which would have extended a GB drive, so I don't think getting worked up about the refs is justified, though I'm sure someone will chime in about the no call on Witten. But the people suggesting that the NFL is actively conspiring against the Cowboys getting to the SuperBowl are nuts

Well to be fair the PI easily evened out when they missed an obvious one on Witten that cost us a TD.
