Game Day ***Cowboys vs Packers Pre-game thread***

League has to be silently hoping for Cowboys win. Bigger ratings going forward. Cowboys/ Seahags and then Cowboys/ Pats would pull huge ratings.

I've got my Alundis Brice throwback on.

But I got a Packers hat nearby just in case.

Spent 2 hours this morning driving on snowy country roads with my 14 year old daughter who got her driver's permit yesterday.

It was a bit of a white-nuckler but it was an excellent way to take my mind off of the game and fast forward a bit on the day.

You can get a permit at 14 now?

Hey, I have class...but maybe just for this game we should use Cole Beasley on defense and send him on a few timely and early blitzes. If the calf tears, so be it. It was incidental.

I find it hard to believe the field conditions today are a surprise to the home team, that's all I'm saying.

I'm sure it's not. They also didn't get an extra special advantage from practicing in it either.

That's what I was thinking.

No offense to the man's daughter, but no way am I getting into a car driven by a 14 year old.

As you can imagine the conditions here in Michigan can get quite awful. Quite often we are driving on "snow pack" roads where there is no pavement -- just packed snow.

The thought process is here is to get the kiddies as much experience driving in the muck with mom/dad in the passenger seat before they go off on their own when they are 16.

The Packers are a storied franchise too.

I think the league just wanted the Panthers out of it. It's all gravy now. The Seahawks don't share the history of the Cowboys and Packers but they're the defending champs.

To an old timer like me this feels like Vikes playoff game 1975.

No one thought we could win. See Hail Mary.

Next week blew out Rams on the road 37-7.

FYI. I'll take it in a heart beat.
