It's really starting to feel like football season. Cold wet day, sporadic gunfire from the deer hunters, late game against a hated rival, sunset right about kickoff time. The smell of sawdust and two-stroke smoke, the occasional snap/crackle/pop from the woodstove. All that's missing is the smell of a big pot of chili or spaghetti sauce or stew simmering away, and the soothing sound of Madden/Summerall.
