That was one of the main knocks on him coming out of college. Probably going to take more than one offseason to get him to get that straightened out.

Why is he always last off the snap though?

At Michigan he played in a read and react position so he waited for the OL to make their choice and reacted accordingly.

He’s being coached to do a completely different style here and get off the ball much quicker. Thus it’s going to be a learning process for him to get a whole new way of playing down.

Give him some time, but eventually he’ll be a lot faster off the ball once the muscle memory kicks in.
