Game Day *** Cowboys vs Saints post game thread ***

We lost the game when we went for field goal in first quarter. Field goals are for losers.

No disrespect to the Saints DL but I just don't understand what went wrong re: running game. They didn't run into any obvious 8 man fronts that I could see.

The run selection was very suspect. They ran 90% dives right into the heart of the Saints D. No misdirection, no draws, only a couple stretch runs. Ugly ugly game plan and play calling.

Bill callahan was the problem. Then it was Linehan. It’ll be Kellen Moore soon.

But we just ignore the fact that this is Garret’s offense

Outcoached and no adjustments. Nothing about the offense today came from Kellen Mooore. That was 100% Jason Garrett. I hope Jones is livid and I hope players go over Garrett’s head to get his hands off this offense. That was a carbon copy of last year’s offense so it had to be Garrett’s doing. If they don’t give Moore back the control, within 4 weeks they will not be leading the division and the season will likely be over because they can’t win with Garrett controlling the offense.

No more letting Garrett call games. No doubt in my mind he was behind this game. I don't care if they played terrible teams before, the play calls themselves were completely different.

He lets Moore call against the garbage teams, but then he thinks he has to take control against a real team. No Jason, there is a reason you're a joke in the coaching world. Stick to motivational speeches, nothing else.

You're joking right? Green Bay does not have better defense than the Saints, Green Bay is not very good against the run.

We can talk about flags and the refs, but Teddy Bridgewaters dumb mistake gave us a realistic second chance. "Clutch" Dak suddenly pooped his pants against a solid D in the big moment. I'm telling you guys, it's time to realize he's Alex Smith. He'll have a good game when things are clicking around him, but that's simply where it ends. He'll always struggle with simple little things, you know, like throwing the ball 3 yards behind a receiver...which already caused an INT.

Also, Zeke's fumbling issues came back to bite us, which I mentioned before the season started. The middle of this defense is our Achilles heel, and it looked very similar to what happened to us against the Rams.
