I enjoy the Cowboys. It's entertainment. But there is a limit. Let me explain.

If you're not on the team, it doesn't matter, like, when you care that much about something that's not you, it just doesn't make sense. If you care that much about Star Wars, you're a dork. Everyone calls you a dork. Why don't we call extreme fans Cowboys' dorks? They do the same crap as a Star Wars dork.

They'll go to the game dressed up like the people that they're going to watch. How is that different than a Jar Jar Binks costume? It's not. It's the same. To walk into a place with an 88 uniform, like, "Hey, look at me, I'm CeeDee Lamb." No, you're not. You're somebody who gave up on life like 12 years ago, and now you're living vicariously through this dude who's richer than you and you're wearing his work clothes. That's weird.

As I've gotten older I don't wear jerseys anymore, but I don't think wearing jerseys is pretending to be them. I think it's more to show support...either way I would also argue that someone who cares enough to join a sports forum and start a thread complaining about it is more weird then someone who wears a jersey to a game.

What’s your problem?

I don't typically wear jerseys but I do sometimes. It's not cosplay and there's nothing wrong with it at all. It's as you say, showing support for the team and the Cowboys happen to have some really sweet looking duds.

And before I went into business I was a teacher and have an MA in history, this literally goes back as far as sports fandom exists. Romans used to wear items of clothing for their favorite gladiators, and chariot teams had colors to denote famous charioteers. In 532 in Constantinople there was literally a riot of "Green vs Blue" in fans sporting the duds of their favorite racers that grew so large it almost overthrew the Eastern Roman Empire.

There's nothing wrong with it. Moreover, no one should pretend they're the arbiter of how people should express their fandom and connection to their team. Humans love sports and fandoms and have for as long as we've been writing stuff down. Who am I to tell someone that the way they express themselves is right or wrong or up to my standards? If I did that'd make me an arrogant egoist.

You do you. And yes, I am a "dork". Who cares?

Star Wars is imaginary. Football is real.

Are you trying to defend yourself for being a Dork?

I just worry about the ones that want to beat me with a bat ,cause I said the wrong thing about their hero dak , or some other player
We don’t need to beat you with a bat. You beat yourself with one with every one of your posts.

Because Star Wars is fantasy and Cowboys are reality.

This right here is some 2am New Year’s night Cowboys philosophy. Lots of posts here say the same thing so I like the original thought.

I always get a kick out of the Darth Raider Fans all decked out in the stands. They have found a way to represent two forms of iconic entertainment at one event. Good stuff. I see nothing wrong with it.

Peace is a lie. There is only Passion.
Through Passion, I gain Strength.
Through Strength, I gain Power.
Through Power, I gain Victory.
Through Victory my chains are Broken.
The Force shall free me.
