The ownership doesn't get too involved and let's the coaches make all the football decisions.
I don't think so actually. I think they are very involved in which players are playing for example. Our ownership lets our coaches make all of the football decisions. The problem is our coaches are terrible.
In the time it took us to rebuild our Oline, they rebuilt their Oline and defense. Progress moves at a snail's pace in this organization. The Steelers put a premium on defense. That SB defense got old, and it took a few years to rebuild it. They have 7 guys on defense 25 or younger, they've invested heavy draft capital in.
1st round: Burns, Watt, Shazier, Dupree
2nd round: Sean Davis, Tuitt
3rd round: Javon Hargrave
Kevin Colbert is a real GM.
Jaylon Smith looks like the worst player we have had in a decade. And that is not me exaggerating.
You do realize that the Steelers had JJ Wilcox at safety. Yes the Wilcox that played for Dallas and everybody wanted gone.it's a culture thing. players that come into that organization are expected to play tough, physical, blue collar football and stout defense. guys like byron jones, kyle wilber would not be pulling pension checks in pittsburgh. there's also a lot of pride that resonates throughout that franchise that I don't get the sense exists in Dallas anymore. the Steelers have too much pride to allow the Packers to come into their home with numerous injuries and ruin their HFA...it would not have happened. meanwhile we have a .500 record at home, teams come here and put their feet on the table, eat our food, and clog our toilets and our response is just more clapping.
Before the start of the 2016 NFL season, I made the prediction that the Dallas Cowboys would play the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl
The Cowboys and Steelers would go on to play the regular season game of the year in 2016
The Steelers lost and fell to a record of 4-5, while the Cowboys left Pittsburgh at 8-1 and riding an eight game win streak
The Cowboys season peaked two weeks later with a Thanksgiving Day win over the Commanders, the Steelers meanwhile would go on to win nine straight games after the Dallas defeat and their season would end in the AFC Championship Game
The Steelers have a combined record of 17-3 since their 2016 regular season loss to the Cowboys
The Cowboys have a combined record of 10-6 since that meeting.(didn't count the finale)
What happened since then to shift these teams outlooks?
Steelers look like a contender
I'm not sure if the Cowboys can beat the Chargers(even w Zeke)
We took their best punch that day, and spit it right back in their face, how did they walk away the better team in the future?
Their talent get appreciably better following that game? Ours get worse?
Steelers had shaky QB play for at least a month this season, how did they survive then thrive regardless?
What happened to switch these two teams fortunes?
• Might be unfair of me to say the Cowboys season peaked on Thanksgiving in 2016
• A combined record of 10-7 if you count the Mark Sanchez finale at Philadelphia
Jaylon Smith looks like the worst player we have had in a decade. And that is not me exaggerating.
Yep, another overzealous, way off prediction that you got wrong.
The Steelers draft speed and athleticism. We draft for need too often. The Steelers have built their defense on speed and aggressiveness. We look so soft when compared to them. The Steelers also practice hitting and tackling in training camp whereas we never hit or tackle in training camp and it shows. Before the start of the 2016 NFL season, I made the prediction that the Dallas Cowboys would play the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl

You mean a meaningful play like the pick 6 to seal the victory against the Commanders. Seriously the hate that Jones gets is ridiculous
Bell vs KC: 32 for 179Caught the last few Steelers game, just wanted to say Bell cant **** with Zeke
Same! The Steelers draft speed and athleticism. We draft for need too often. The Steelers have built their defense on speed and aggressiveness. We look so soft when compared to them. The Steelers also practice hitting and tackling in training camp whereas we never hit or tackle in training camp and it shows.
The Steelers always make sure they have a young and dynamic wide receiver ready to step up. This year the drafted Ju Ju Smith Shuster, a player we could have used, but we instead had to draft for need and reached for Taco when we could have used that pick on a DB and then drafted Ju Ju in the second round. Our scouts also wanted TJ Watt over Taco but Garrett wanted Taco. It looks like a really bad move right now.
The Steelers also have innovative and aggressive coordinators on both sides of the ball and our systems seem antiquated and stale.
The Steelers look to be head and shoulders better than we are this year and it pains me to no end.
yea i'm sure palSure about that?!
