Lets be honest, that was a deflection that landed right in his lap. Anyone could have caught that{even Larry Brown}.
It didn't fall into his lap and how many times have those same plays just going through the hands of our DBs.

With over 2 minutes left in the game and Commanders only needing a TD to tie Jones came up with the game winning play. Nobody else did, Byron did and not only caught it but took it for 6 points.

Is the hate so bad you and the few like you can't even give him props when he makes a game winning play?

It's funny y'all dance around when proven wrong on the comment that Byron hasn't made 1 play.

They draft smart and have a plan on the type of football player they want. They got away from the running game for a few years but it's back with Bell.

Mostly it's the swagger that Tomlin has. He might go for two and screw things up from time to time, but he has the balls to do it and take the criticism.

We need a HC with swagger folks.

The vibe that I get from most here is that Tomlin in an idiot thug.

Steelers have a better GM and head coach. In this league, with the salary cap, your roster can only out talent other teams for only so long because other teams will be plucking your talented players off of the roster sooner or later. Obviously, that means you have to draft well, but a LOT is contingent on coaching that can develop players and get them to buy in to a solid program. People keep saying Tomlin isn't that great, which is beyond me, when the guy has already won one super bowl, has been to another, and has his team looking like one of the best teams in the league. Steelers are still looking tough years after Cowher and Lebeau, so we can't simply say he's winning with the previous coach's players.

On the other hand, we have significant weaknesses in both our FO and our HC, which is why you never see any kind of stability with this organization. We have an excellent draft specialist in Will McClay, and you saw how those rookies transformed the organization last year, but the very next year, the genius FO took a team that was primed for a superbowl run for the next few years, blew it up and put it in rebuild mode by letting all of our starting secondary walk. Now, we have to wait for these guys we drafted to develop and hope they pan out. It doesn't help that just about all of our free agent signings are no longer on the team. Great time to go cheap and 'save money' when you have Dak and Zeke on rookie contracts and you still have Zack Martin and Demarcus Lawrence on the cheap as well. Shouldn't we have signed some vets on one or two year deals who are actually quality? Sad enough to say, our FO thinks we literally have to build ONLY through the draft unless we're scraping the bottom of the barrel from other teams. Occasionally we will come up with an Irving off of their practice squad, but look at the rest of our pickups. Where are they at? The problem is we have people who are unqualified for their roles in the two most important spots for continued success in this modern league. If you want sustained success, you need a great HC and you need a great FO. The Jones have no business trying to be GMs. They need to stick with being owners and getting out of the way. Garrett has no business being a head coach in the NFL. Will we even have 4 playoff wins in a decade? How many years will we need to rebuild? As soon as we've 'rebuilt' one section of the team, another one is gone in free agency, so there are your perpetual excuses for that 'one necessary piece we need to draft' for success.

I will go on record and say FO is THE most important aspect of success in modern football. As important as QBs are to teams, they can only do so much if the GM isn't doing their job. Romo was enough to win a superbowl, as is Dak... but Romo had several 8 and 8 seasons and Dak looks like he's well on his way to his first of possibly many 8 and 8s to no fault of his own. Why? Because the FO.

The FO hires the HC and they play a monumental part in the players we bring in. Look at the eagles. Chip Kelly destroyed that team and they looked like bottom dwellers for the next five years, but somehow they got a 1st rounder for Sam Bradford, who has shown, stop after stop, to be a mediocre QB, and parlayed that pick into getting their franchise QB and they are currently the face of the league this year. They rebuilt that whole team in what, 2 years? On the other hand, we couldn't even get a single pick for Romo when teams such as the Broncos and Texans were hungry for QBs and we blew up a potential SB team and now we look like we're headed for 8 and 8 land. The FO did the same thing to Romo when they blew up our Oline. He had to play for years under a terrible O-line, and by the time they actually rebuilt it, his body was broken down and he was on his way into the broadcast booth. Romo was enough to win a superbowl as is Dak. They have blown up Dak's defense, and if Sean Lee goes down, this literally looks like one of the worst defenses in the league.

Our GM/owner treats the cowboys like a family run business instead of a performance based organization and he won't remove his adopted son garrett from a position which he clearly isn't qualified for. Romo saying Garrett isn't a scheme guy should tell you all you need to know. You can't out talent the league for long. You have to have coaches that can get the most out of their players, which we aren't. I frankly do not understand why over a period of 20 years, the Jones' can't figure it out and get over their ego, hire the best GM they can find or possibly just give McClay full reins, since he is doing a fantastic job with the draft and move out of the way. Sad enough to say, the league might actually be doing us a favor in terms of wins if they forced Jones to sell the team.

Before the start of the 2016 NFL season, I made the prediction that the Dallas Cowboys would play the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl

The Cowboys and Steelers would go on to play the regular season game of the year in 2016

The Steelers lost and fell to a record of 4-5, while the Cowboys left Pittsburgh at 8-1 and riding an eight game win streak

The Cowboys season peaked two weeks later with a Thanksgiving Day win over the Commanders, the Steelers meanwhile would go on to win nine straight games after the Dallas defeat and their season would end in the AFC Championship Game

The Steelers have a combined record of 17-3 since their 2016 regular season loss to the Cowboys

The Cowboys have a combined record of 10-6 since that meeting.(didn't count the finale)

What happened since then to shift these teams outlooks?

Steelers look like a contender

I'm not sure if the Cowboys can beat the Chargers(even w Zeke)

We took their best punch that day, and spit it right back in their face, how did they walk away the better team in the future?

Their talent get appreciably better following that game? Ours get worse?

Steelers had shaky QB play for at least a month this season, how did they survive then thrive regardless?

What happened to switch these two teams fortunes?

• Might be unfair of me to say the Cowboys season peaked on Thanksgiving in 2016

• A combined record of 10-7 if you count the Mark Sanchez finale at Philadelphia

We are doing some good things, but we are shooting ourselves in the foot by forcing the ball to Dez and killing drives on offense and we aren't getting good enough linebacking play to win consistently without Lee in the lineup.

Yeah, I'd rather be less valuable, have a real football stadium, and win Super Bowls.

Are we back on bashing the 1.2 billion dollar stadium because Dez is the only one who can't catch a pass in it because the sun only affects Dez?

it's a culture thing. players that come into that organization are expected to play tough, physical, blue collar football and stout defense. guys like byron jones, kyle wilber would not be pulling pension checks in pittsburgh. there's also a lot of pride that resonates throughout that franchise that I don't get the sense exists in Dallas anymore. the Steelers have too much pride to allow the Packers to come into their home with numerous injuries and ruin their HFA...it would not have happened. meanwhile we have a .500 record at home, teams come here and put their feet on the table, eat our food, and clog our toilets and our response is just more clapping.

Why are you guys so down on clapping? What did clapping ever do to you?

Any swinging you know what could have made that play, you know that.............
You keep thinking that.

The facts are he made the play and took it to the house to win the game. Now you can stay in denial all you want but in reality it makes you and folks like you look silly and childish. To dislike a player so much you can't even say he made the play.

Anyways no use of going in circles with this, you can stay in your fantasy land. Meanwhile the rest of us will have some meaningful football talk. Thanks for playing

Pittsburgh hasn't done anything in years. For over a decade now Steelers have been doing the same thing as the Cowboys during the Superbowl....... Watching.

Y'all people act like they are the Patriots. It's funny how some of you exaggerate to make the Cowboys and their players and staff look so bad while pumping up others that haven't done crap either.

Surprised y'all haven't said the Browns are run better then the Cowboys........ By the way Steelers have been doing the same thing as the Browns as well, watching

No, I've hated it since day one. Of the 19 NFL stadiums I've been to, it's by far the worst football experience. Doesn't help that our fans suck at the games too.

Meh. I like a healthy Cowboys team to beat the current Stealers team at home or on the road.
