Chargers claimed DB Pierre Desir (Browns), DT Caraun Reid (Lions), RB Andre Williams (Giants)

Titans claimed TE Jace Amaro (Jets).

It's amazing that the Browns can pick so high and have early claim on the waiver wire every single year and still perpetually suck. They should be stripped of their early status and let teams that might actually improve have those picks.

What were the odds that any of the DEs available to be claimed could learn the defense enough to contribute before Lawrence came back? Pretty slim imo.

It's amazing that the Browns can pick so high and have early claim on the waiver wire every single year and still perpetually suck. They should be stripped of their early status and let teams that might actually improve have those picks.

Waiver claims aren't that valuable because it's still only guys that couldn't make another team's 53. As far as high draft picks, taking Justin Gilbert, Johnny Manziel, Barkevious Mingo, Trent Richardson, Brandon Weeden and Phil Taylor in the first round (they had 6 in 4 years) will do that to you.

Probably not interested in any one of these either. Just too cool for school.

I really dont understand what the hell they are trying to do. Why carry 4 RBs and 2 FBs and stay so thin at DE ?
Most of us assumed it was temporary as
they surely were going to try to strengthen a very weak position...

Man, I love this team but they bewilder me most of the time !

You realize we only have Mayowa, Jack Crawford, and David Irving ready to go week 1 right? Maybe a gimpy rookie with no practice time in Tapper too, but the cupboards are bare man. Screw knowing the system, we just needs bodies with a pulse at this point. They HAVE to sign someone, just a matter of who/when. They aren't going into the season with 7/maybe 8 d lineman dressed.
