Well they were so proactiveWhat a total disaster.
Well they were so proactiveWhat a total disaster.
We like our guys. Even the ones we cut.
no one loves the status quo like Big and Little Enos.
My recollection is that with the Cowboys his kicks either looked really good or he missed by a mile.
Kickers can get better.
In addition to general mental issues, even a slight injury can throw them completely out of whack.
Some teams will cut kickers before cut day because agents want their player to move on to a team where he has a chance.
i.e. Early cut does not always mean the player was terrible in camp.
The cowboys spoke to smith and Wagner and offered them peanuts. So let’s not make it seem like the cowboys didn’t give them the ol “honest offer”I would've gone to lunch with Kate Beckinsale today but she has to want to join me. Smith and Danielle Hunter were talking about teaming up when they played in the Pro Bowl together. Wagner is from LA and wanted to go there. You can't just sign whoever you want because you want them, but it does make it easy to play fantasy GM.
Back to the topic at hand, drafting a kicker isn't a guaranteed solution. Are you getting Sebastian Janikowski or Roberto Aguayo? There's no sure thing. My concern was only bringing in a CFL journeyman and an UDFA and hoping that would be enough. It was a dice roll, at best, and now we're left betting Maher is better now than in 2019.
Maher had a good 2021, well above his career numbers, over 8 games. Either he's improved or it was a short-term hot streak. We'll see.
If you think that what they did this off-season wasn’t sitting on their hands while they have 20 million in unused cap dollars the person being ignorant is you.No, I am amazed at the ignorance.
That is not an acceptable scenario.I get the feeling we end up with 2 kickers on the roster. Harjrullahu is the consistent short yardage/XP guy. Meanwhile Maher can take the longer kicks and kickoff duties.
Not sure if the Cowboys have the roster flexibility for that, but it might make sense? Instead of one quality kicker, keep two who do a couple things well but cant do everything?
I really thought Garibay was going to solidify the position. I don't know what happened to him.
Back to the future it is. Call David Buehler while you're at it and see what he's up to.
I’m not sold that it’s the right move either, but let’s not pretend that this team is that loaded with talent. That is not an acceptable scenario.
We will have concerns keeping the roster depth that we have let alone adding to it because we are too lazy or incompetent to find a placekicker.
He's a career 70-something percent FG kicker who misses extra points.Lol at all the posters mad cause we signed a guy who went 16/18 in the NFL last year to replace the guy who barely had 2 practices hitting over 50%.
Oh right Cowboy fans just enjoy being miserable.
Talent is not some fluid thing that flows across the roster.I’m not sold that it’s the right move either, but let’s not pretend that this team is that loaded with talent.
I do think the question of what’s more valuable….a 2nd kicker vs a 3rd qb, fullback, 6th wr, etc. poor spot to be in but I think the cowboys are in a kicking situation where the idea should at least be considered.
