Yeah but the effort it took to destroy us left them in a weakened state.
Haha.... kinda like when MikeTyson fought Carl Williams and knocked him out in like 45 seconds of the first rd, but then turned around and lost to Buster Douglas in his next fight...nobody ever gives Carl Williams credit for softening Tyson up.

I see Philly and Buffalo over ranked still.
But whatever, only opinions.

8 is ok, not that it means anything.
jazzcat---i agree weekly power rankings not that big a deal but i believe we should be at least 5 at worst....but no big deal

Not really.
GB over rated, and Eagles are always the media darlings. GB is also.
GB with a healthy Love is still a playoff team imo, cant say the same for the Browns tbh. Either way its so early it doesnt matter much lol.

I should probably put a disclaimer in this thread next time:
** OP realizes power rankings are for $#!#$ and giggles, and do not affect standings. :muttley:

Unrelated though, it does make me realize how consolidated sports media is nowadays. Used to be able to get these from every network, SI, Sporting News and more but most of these outlets don’t seem to matter anymore as social media and YouTube take over.
Fwiw this blog links to seven of them: https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/202...chiefs-49ers-lions-texans-bills-ravens-eagles

Not really bro come on man you have to give credit to the eagles for hanging around in that game long enough for their team to start clicking and then they won the game I guess A-Team we couldn't even be in from the first series we got our butts whooped that's the same team pretty much I mean they were missing Dylan and no longer have Jones but I got to get the eagles some credit for being able to beat a team that just throttled us in the last game in a bigger game... I hate the eagles but I think their win is more impressive even though ours is on the road against a playoff team as well I got they played a better team come on... I mean we saw the game they started slow that doesn't mean now they aren't hitting their stride like it's how you finish the game they can come into the next game playing like that.

The GB game was last season. This is a new season.
It was week one, we will see what happens.
We have the Saints, Eagles have the Falcons. What will the excuse be if we both win.

Oh Dallas played a team that beat the worst team in the NFL. Philly beat a team that could win the NFCS. Therefore Philly is better And has 2 quality wins. Dallas has not played anyone yet. Same old crap.

Beating GB is a higher quality win then the Browns.
I disagree. Well it’s based on last season I disagree. I have a feeling Browns might be worse than I think. But last season if you went on the road and scored 33 against the Browns you were doing something no one else could do.

Tough cause its so early but I think the Browns are definetly worse this year than last imo. GB should be improving and be competitive but Love being hurt dampers expectations a bit.

Yeah but the Browns had the best defense in the league. Maybe they got worse but I have a feeling whoever they face tommorow won’t score as well as we did.

Using that logic Buccaneers smoked the Eagles so they should be higher.
Not the point.

The point was...the OP made it sound like it was insanity that the Eagles were sloghtly higher (like spot 7 vs spot 8 actually represents anything). To YOUR point about the Bucs, I would agree: if the Bucs HAD been higher on this list, it would be hard to argue that as well.

It's a stupid list some dork made. In reality...there's the Chiefs...and then there's 10 or so teams after that in a group, that has all the talent needed for a SB, but they just need to, you know, play well all season and in the playoffs AND avoid injuries. We're in that group. Philly is in that group. And for now, the Bucs are in that group, among others

I don't think Buccs are in that group but I will certainly change my tune if they have a solid game against the Lions. Don't even have to beat them just play them well. Might be a sleeper if Baker is gonna play at a high level.

Agree.

We all had the exact same skepticism about the Lions last year...with similar QB reclamation project of former #1 pick.

Bucs COULD be this year's Lions
