Hard to believe Booger and the circus crew had no idea Big Mac might leave. It's been on our radar for a couple of months.

Doesn't that mean something?
Maybe we have a better handle on the things happening with this team than the owner/GM ... and the big Booger in charge?
Jerry can't read the tea leaves.

Doesn't matter,

they're far worse teams in the league some of them haven't even won a division since 1989... I don't want to hear about everyone else because if you want to hear about everyone else ,

it took the chiefs 56 years to get back to the Super bowl ,and now they're the current dynasty... it happens it's reciprocal things come full circle at some point we will end up getting successful again...
There are teams that never even been to a Super Bowl, some have been to Super Bowls, but never won a Super Bowl, and they have longer droughts than we have or at least equal hell it took the Cincinnati Bengals 31 years between their Super Bowl losses and we're talking about this drought as if it's unique to the Dallas Cowboys and it is not.... I mean Washington just went through this that's their first playoff win in a very very long time ,and they have not been back to a Super Bowl or a championship game in longer period than us, and at least we've been winning that division and stopping all over them... I mean we at least were being successful within our division and we've been to the playoffs 5 out of the last eight years..
so apparently if you stay current most of those wins has been in the last eight years are those appearances I should say some more of these winning seasons and more of these playoff appearances has happened in the current decade so there's no need to keep going back 24 years it seems to be getting better the reason doesn't look as good is because yes the first ten years after Jimmy left we're the worst once the team all got hurt or retired or left that won those Super Bowls we went through a major growing pain and Jerry didn't know what he was doing but I'd say the last 10 years say things have been a lot better because if you split that 14 years and keep it in the rearview mirror and then just use 10 years that's just currently happened I'd say that those results are better..

I'm not saying I'm happy about all of it but I'm just telling you it doesn't matter for one we don't get to choose our general manager or owner we support the star on the helmet.. So regardless of all the complaining and the incessant use of the narratives especially the drought narrative which is getting close to 30 years..... it's not going to make a single bit of difference,
you either are or not a fan of the team if you're a fan of the team you have to accept what's going on because you have no choice you virtually have zero choice you either can delete your account and never speak of the Cowboys again make sure it doesn't come up on your social media which you can do the filters make it so and you could just not be a Dallas Cowboys fan anymore... but once you are we don't want to hear your constant complaining about things that can't be changed, they are not going to change anytime soon, because even if Jerry leaves, we saw that with the Raiders al Davis passed away and has nothing changed over there the Dallas Cowboys are a better franchise the last 20 years than the Raiders and especially the last 10 years that means the Cowboys are better than a lot of teams Jerry Jones is not the worst GM in the league he is a middling GM he's in the middle of the pack he is at least kept this team in the top six and win percentage that means we're winning divisions and we're going to the playoffs do we need to get the rest of it fixed yes but there are far worse franchises with far worse gyms and far worse owners that's my point...

You don't like what you're seeing and knowing it's not going to change you could just change teams you could go root for someone else because the things you're complaining about are not gonna change anytime soon, because when Stephen Jones gets ahold of this...

who knows it could be worse it could remain the same and I don't know if he would hire A GM but technically the last 10 years that I keep Speaking of has been more to do with Jerry allowing his coaches and his rest of his front office, especially Will McClay being the non-titled GM here, he literally is basically an assistant GM, he handles a lot of what Jerry would be doing if he was truly a full time GM, but that duties are all split between other people this is still a consensus ,it is a democracy ,whether you like it not, it's run like a corporation, and there are other people, other layers, that are helping Jerry make these decisions good, bad, or indifferent..
SUMMARY-

Im smarter than you lot combined.......

Delete your account and never speak of the Cowboys again.

Go find another team !!!!

Bums still living off Jimmy Johnson’s hard work from 3 decades ago. Not surprising at all.

1. Ochoa is an odd fellow to me with some frequency.

2. Evaluating the field, they didn't see an obviously better option, so of course they didn't look to formulate a back-up plan.

3. Evaluating the field and the time constraints, the lack of said plan has objectively, tangibly, empirically not hurt them. They've lost out on Vrabel, but it's a hard sell that Vrabel was absolutely the best of the Plan Bs, and that, even after you account for the fact that the Pats were the odds-on favorite to land him regardless.

4. The very fact that all of us fans are so divided about what a Plan B should look like... ie, that there's no automatically-smart-move to be had... kinda makes Ochoa's headline impotent.

It's just too easy for these bloggers to beat up on the Joneses and expect clicks. Gets silly sometimes.
We could have landed Bellicheck.

He said “na, I can’t with with y’all, you suck as owner and GM”…..VERY telling of what this team is looking like to outsiders when an insider is like “I’m done”.

The guy is an idiot
He turned a money losing business into a business that makes over $3M every single day.

Think about that. $3,000,000 ($3 million) every single day of the year.

Does that sound like an idiot to you?

Does it really matter. No one on this board wanted McCarthy back and most wanted him fired during this past season. I would love to know what Jerry was offering. I think anything below a four year deal would be an insult to McCarthy.
It’s different when the dude would rather walk than resign here, no job lined up but it’s so bad and Jerry sucks so much he would rather walk than sign a contract offered by Jerry. Very telling of the poor work environment.

When it comes to the staff and roster, yes he’s an idiot…..those things aren’t the same as having an attention getting circus that makes money. Good business man, bad GM.

This is pretty strange, they wanted him back but basically pretended they didn't and then had no backup plan beyond that. My guess is Mike wanted nothing to do with Jerry and Stephen anymore.
It didnt come out of nowhere too, MM put his home up for sale earlier in the season.

Why is it strange? They did the same thing to Dak, thinking Trance was their insurance plan and look how that worked out.

MM did not panic. He was not afraid of a season ending injury risking his future employment with another team.

GM Jethro is clueless.

Maybe McCarthy wanted nothing more to do with Dak.

Recall that Dak is locked in for zillions for the foreseeable future, had his worst year ever, will be coming back after a season ending injury, and the team had a better record under Cooper Rush than Dak.

Meanwhile, I thought McCarthy without Dak ended up looking pretty good this year. Went 4-4 with a 3mil backup. 3 12 win seasons before that. He should get a job somewhere.

Yes, it had nothing to do with Jerry, the Owner, President and GM, who gave the contract to Dak to sign. You are 100% correct.
