The Eagles haven't won a divisional game yet this year, trying to avoid being winless in the division since 1976. Both home divisional games were close ones though, the 21-20 loss to the Cowboys (McNabb's last game) and a last minute squeaker against the Giants at home with McMahon at QB.

This is the last game of the year, the crowd will be in a frenzy and the team will play hard. I'm just not sure if they're good enough. I agree with Juke, they only win if the game is a defensive battle and they don't turn the ball over. A 13-10, 17-13 style game is our best shot. If the Skins get out to an early 14-0 lead it's probably over.

We are a damn FS away I'm afraid. Too many big pass plays deep at critical junctures. Thats going to bite us hard. But we all knew that going in...... To this day I don't get why they left that hole and $5M on the plate.....
I disagree, not that there isn't a hole at FS but that it has anything to do with our losses.

If you're looking for a scapegoat, the position is kicker. This team is legitimately three chip shot field goals away from a 13-3 season (against the Commanders, Seahawks, Raiders, Broncos).

I think the eagles will pull it out. Andy Reid won't let them go winless in the division all year. It will be close, but hopefully the eagles can get moats going early and shut down portis. I think is they shut down portis, they will win this game. Just don't let moss get deep.

Honestly, I like our chances...

look at carolina, playing in Atl. A place they have only won one game in 10 years. Add to that the shaken confidence in the run defense, thanks to JJ going wild last week, and Mike Vick and the Dunn could have a field day. I actually think this is the best chance for a lose out of the two games. Although it wouldn't surprise me to see both lose their games and Dallas being in the 5 seed with carolina in the 6 seed.

We can hope anyway :)

i like this matchup, too.

dallas just gashed carolina for 214 yards on the ground. and, for the season, the cowboys have looked pretty pedestrian in that department.

the falcons, on the other hand, lead the league in team rushing for the second consecutive year. and they've beaten carolina 12 of the last 15 times the two teams have met. add to that the fact they lost to carolina on the road earlier this season - and i believe the falcons are due for the season-splitting home win.

but i'm trying to rein in my enthusiasm for now. hoping for the best - preparing for the worst.

I couldn't really tell you why, but I have that same weird feeling that Dallas somehow ends up in the playoffs.

Just as long as we get into the playoff.......don't really care how!

I do. I'm greedy. I want both the skins and the cats to lose. No team in the past 20 years has won 3 road games on the way to the SB. If both the skins and cats lose and we win we host the cats in a WC matchup.

It could if both wild cards reached the championship game, in this case Dallas vs Carolina at Texas stadium, winner goes to the SB.

Im more of a realist on these things. We can summon all the intuition and gut feelings in the world, but the 45-man rosters and teams who execute, focus and play with purpose usually win, regardless. It's another reason why we should just despise not controlling our own destiny now. As a fan, I really dont like to feel that way long about weeks 16 and 17. No matter what happens Sat. and Sunday though, the Cowboys will have an NFL caliber kicker next summer faster than you can say "Jose Cortez".:

That would mean we win and either the Skins Lose, the Panthers lose, or the most unlikely scenario Bucs and the Giants Lose.

Which one do i feel will occur??

I just got a feeling the Panthers are going to barely win one in atlanta . Meaning I see the Skins LOSING.

Here's why.

The skins the pass few weeks have probably played there best football the entire year. Now we need to remember the skins havent really been good for awhile and there not use to winning. I just think being on the ROAD, this week there going to come in OVERCONFIDENT and lay a big egg this week.

I see Andy Reid breaking down film on them , and Ryan Moats having a big game. The Philly fans regardless of what they might say are going to be going nuts during that game. They want to show that they the EAGLES can beat the SKINS unlike the COWBOYS AND GIANTS.

I can just see it now Gibbs walking off the field in digust , head down, portis on his knees bowing his head in defeat.

The Skin fans in disarray ........and then them holding out hope for the rams.

The tide will turn on them and they will need help to get in.

But of Course Dallas will crush the Rams 31-0

Sorry, but I am not impressed. I have never seen your kitchen sink. How do I know it is not some rusted up old bucket.

Well if that happens, I kind of wonder just how far this team can go. If Julius has his confidence back. That would be a huge plus for this team going into the playoffs. We have been winning games most of the year without a running game for the most part.

But it would be a perfect time for this team, if the running game is indeed back. No telling how far we could go with Julius running wild again.
not a big deal how far we go..it is so sweet to see the skins lose that way

Guys, let's get real.

As much as it pains me to say, the Skins aren't going to lose to the Eagles this Sunday. Your assessment is based on the horrific Skins teams that we've dominated and laughed at for the past decade, but their ball club maintains the same spirit and composure, if not the identity, of prior Gibbs-coached teams, and he'll prepare them well, as he's prepared his other Skins teams well during the month of December.

If it were Spurrier or Norv Turner head-coaching Washington, I'd be a little beat more positive, but that isn't the case.

But they still have the play the game and because of that it is not a sure bet that they will go into Philly and win. No doubt they are the favorite to win heck if I was an odds maker I would favor them as well but an inter-divisional game on the road is no sure thing.
