Cowboys win total for 2017 could be 7 to 11, IMO

I think 10 wins but it's really impossible to predict. Teams that were very good last year may not be this year. You may face a top team without their qb or you without yours
Just get in the playoffs is first goal
Then it's simple, win the last game you play

Mark me down for a repeat 13-3. I think the running game is going to get better, as in very very good. This will open opportunities in the passing game. Teams will be pressured into keeping up with high scoring offense that also keeps the ball on sustained drives, which will help this young defense stay off the field, and pin their ears back when on the field.

I don't give a **** about schedule and who we play. We had an expired secondary, a rookie rb and qb, no help for Lee at LB and other than Irving and a strong rookie year from Collins we had nothing else to help rush the passer. Our defense got younger, faster (Awu, Lewis and X) and bigger (Taco). We got two redshirts in Jaylon and Tapper who I think is going to surprise a lot of people. We have a guy ready to burst out in the middle of this defense in Maliek and we got a juiced up Irving to add week 5. This defense is going to be fun to watch. Out with the old, in with the new and I think we are going to triple our int totals. The most important part of this team is still the ground and pound and Zeke is a beast with a beast oline. Teams don't want to **** with us. Everyone gets worried with the names Pats, Raiders, Giants, Falcons, ect...... trust me they are more worried to play us cause we got a bad ***, kick *** ******* team. The only thing that can get in our way is our coaching staff. Keep it simple and pound the ******* ball down the opposing teams throat. It's so hard for these OC to do it but if you do none of these guys are going to have a chance against us Brady and pats included.

Eagles didn't have that many injuries
I think they had alot to their offensive line.

They had a really good record when Lane Johnson played. Something like 4-1 I think.

I'm just hoping we can have some more luck with injuries again because we didn't have anything too serious (except Romo, but that was a blessing to finally rid usnof that curse)

We saw in 2015 what our win total is when everything goes wrong (injuries/bad luck) so let's not pretend the OP's prediction that 7 wins is the floor for those circumstances. On the bright side, I think this team got better in the off season so if everything goes right why isn't this team capable of 14-16 wins? I think they can do it.

Lane wasn't injured and half those wins came against the Browns and the Cowboys JV squad. Another one came against the Bears.

This is the deepest this team has been in a long time. They should win the division and be in the mix for a title. But they are still Sean Lee and Dak Prescott injuries away from being 6-10.
Oh I think they were deeper last year. Romo Green Leary McFadden Butler Morris Heath Wilcox Brown Wilson. Lots of replacement level starters and a couple of studs. I hope they have some depth with their youth but I think depth is their most overlooked strength from last season and perhaps the most telling sign of the change in outlook under McClay and Stephen.

1. Dak goes down early for extended time. 5.4 wins

2. Dak stays upright and the injury bug is little. 9.6 wins

3. Everything goes right and the Defense out performs it's experience. 11.8 wins

At some point this year this Defense is going to show it's youth. I do think it's better in potential, but it's going to take playing time, another Draft and some next year cap money thrown at it to be really good. I have 2018 circled to be a great year. I am however going to enjoy this year and it's growing pains.

side note; Hope i'm wrong I just don't see it being different.

So if dallas goes 10-6 or 9-7 does that mean the rest of the NFCE 500 or worse. We play the same schedule as our division rivals except 2. We do not play teams like the Saints or the Panthers which I think will be harder games than Sea, GB, Denver.
