Cowboys win total for 2017 could be 7 to 11, IMO

I still confused on how the Chargers (who have the worst luck and don't end up with good records but still tend to be dangerous) and especially the Chiefs (winners of 22 of their last 26 regular season games), are borderline givens.

It is a QB-driven league.
Look at the the QB's Dallas plays this season, who are at least considered top-echelon QB's - only Aaron Rogers, Matt Ryan, & Derek Carr pose a threat.
The Green Bay game (as well as the Seattle game) is at home.

Eli & Cousins can be corralled - again, if Marinelli gets his act together.
Barring significant injuries, & if Marinelli designs a more aggressive defensive game-day approach (rather than reacting) against Green Bay, Atlanta, and Oakland -- Dallas can easily get 12 or 13 wins.

I wouldn't say they are givens, I just think the Cowboys are a better team than either and match up very well talent wise. They will still be tough games.

Due to the Schedule and that teams in the NFC East have improved more than they've regressed, this year looks like a challenging one.
I can see our win total being from 7 to 12.
7 if everything goes wrong, injuries/bad luck.
It's not impossible for us to go 13-3 again but it's likely not probable.
The only games that are virtually given are the Rams, 49ers, and maybe the Chargers and Chiefs.
Tossups are Falcons, Raiders, Green Bay, Seahawks. All top teams that will be tough so figure a split (2).
The Giants (2) seem to own us lately so until we show we can beat them, can't count on those as wins.
The worst I see us doing against the Eagles and Commanders (2) is splitting.
The Cardinals will be tough in their place as will Denver but I don't see us losing to any of their QB's unless their excellent Defense wreaks havoc (1).
That's 7 losses under that scenario.
If we stay relatively healthy, again, and the defense improves somewhat, then I can see an 11 win and best case scenario 12 win season.

They just need more wins than the Eagles, Giants and Skins.

10 wins for this team and I say factoring in the amount of 1st year starters and rookies we have on defense. I think this team will be faster and more aggressive on defense but there will be growing pains assuredly.

Divisional Champs two of the last three years. It's time this division had a team repeat as it's champion. Better yet, it's time for some more SB titles/ This is the Dallas Cowboys we are talking about, our wave of dynasty era football is upon us once again... ride the wave!

I say 10-6 or 11-5 and a playoff win, maybe two.
I think the offense comes of age and Dak and Zeke continue to progress. I think Switzer is going to play a huge role.
I'm still skeptical about the defense. David Irving is suspended for four games, and that's going to hurt the pass rush. We have a remade secondary and without a pass rush, Odell Beckham Jr., Julio Jones, Amari Cooper, Terrell Pryor, etc. will expose us.
I want to be hopeful for a Super Bowl appearance, but it takes young teams about three years to ascend to the big game. So we'll be better this year and go farther but likely fall short, unless everything comes together perfectly.

Seems to me like predicting 7 to 11 wins isn't exactly going out on a limb but maybe I'm being picky. ;)

Before the OTAs and the minicamp commenced, I felt as though ten wins might be a realistic guess. :)

Anything less than 10 and I'd be disappointed.
Anything less than 10 and I'll be livid. Changes need to be made, livid.

Alas, I don't think we need to be worried about that, PA. NFCE is finally gonna have back-to-back division winners.

We need to go a little deeper in the Playoffs this year. That's where I'm looking. I'm already counting my chickens with the division :)

Oh man--- yes i am worried this year because of schedule and improvment of NFC east teams....our O line is not a given like last year and our D is up in the air especially by replacing vets with rookies...and then the usually injury fear bug?.....and then suspensions....this was Irvings year too....can pea-u replace Mcclain?....i dont like the idea of collins at 1 tech ..keep him at 3...and so on

It all hinges on new pieces falling in place and sooner than later. Best case scenario we get home field again and make it count. I suspect the 2017-18 version will indeed be scary for opponents, especially if they are as talented and hungry as I think they are.
