Cowboys WR on Dak Prescott: 'Great to have QB that's not moody'

I don't think that was a shot at Romo. T-Will had great on-field rapport with Romo. He was complimenting Dak on his demeanor. At least that's how I took it.
I don't really buy that. Yeah, he was complimenting Dak, but he's only had two real QBs in his career. His only real comparison of note is Romo and Dak. Unless you really think he's referring to Cassel, Weeden, and Sanchez?

Cowboys WR on Dak Prescott: 'Great to have QB that's not moody'
Without QB Tony Romo in the fold, Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams credits the success of 2016 to one key attribute by Dak Prescott.

"Playing with Dak is always great," said Williams. "When you have a quarterback that's not always moody, by that, I mean sometimes you have a QB that's happy or sometimes he's mad or sometimes you don't even know the mood -- but, with Dak you go in the huddle and he's always calm. He's always cool, calm and collected. No matter if we're down by such amount of points or winning. Dak is just one of those guys that you tell him to do something, and he pays attention to the small things.

"And that's what makes him so great."

That's because he's a rookie.

I don't think this should be interpreted as a shot at Romo. TWilliams played with Weeden, Cassel and Moore last year too. Oh, and Sanchez this year.
I heard Matt Cassel acted too much like a king in the huddle. Just saying. ;)

I don't understand all these shots people love to take at Tony now. It baffles my mind.
Maybe he wasn't as beloved as we all thought.

At any rate, what Williams has to say really does not make me really care either.

I heard that Kellen Moore was verbally abusive when he thought WRs weren't trying hard enough to catch his wounded ducks.

I hope you're kidding. There was so much noise about how every game was his "real test"
He had pressure....but there were no expectations. How can a 4th round rookie who was last on the depth chart have expectations?

Now next year....after going 13 - 3. After cutting/trading Romo....there will be pressure AND expectations.

Read more like an 'Oops, did I just say that out loud? How can I backtrack it?" moment to me. But, yeah, generally Tony is very complimentary of Williams publicly. I think they have a pretty good relationship.

This isn't the first time we've heard that Tony's aloof in the locker room, though. There's probably more to it than generally gets reported. That doesn't mean he doesn't have the respect of his teammates, though.

Pressure based on expectations, yes. There is no pressure without expectations.
We will agree to disagree. The #1 overall pick comes into a franchise with expectations. A 4th round rookie who only played due to injuries to the guys ahead of him on the depth chart....and played at an ALL TIME level.....that was a miracle. Do you expect miracles?

Any player that unseats the longtime franchise QB, with every game possibly being make or break it, there are off the charts expectations for that player. Period. There is nothing to discuss. Where he was drafted has zero to do with it at that point.

This ^^^

He did tell Dez in practice to quit screwing around on a 2 minute drill early on.

Give him time and he will be yelling at you to Twill...just like the fans!!

I will say one thing for Dak...it appears he has the knack of leadership. That's a great trait for a QB.
