One or the other not both, too many great polka songs to include that with country. However, finding 32 country songs form the 80's will be a challenge.Unless it's country or polka songs of the 80's.
You come in here and can easily name 32 country songs, I am going to have serious concerns about your dental and mental health.Unless it's country or polka songs of the 80's.
lotta great country tunes to pick from. One or the other not both, too many great polka songs to include that with country. However, finding 32 country songs form the 80's will be a challenge.
BRACKETS???!!!!!!???Best vacation destinations? We could dive up the brackets into hemispheres quadrants
Movie quote sounds good to me...."Love Me Tender" doesn't count, right?....along with any other sung lyrics?I was kinda hoping we would do Best Movie Quote. Whatever. Anyone have a new idea for selecting 'an' idea for a tournament?
There have been tons of suggestions made already. Polls have been picking the one used so far (yeah/i know/i'm guilty).
Thoughts? And my question is not intended for 'just use my idea you looney bird' answers, lol.
don't worry...ive got plenty of material before cheating with song lyrics.Movie quote sounds good to me...."Love Me Tender" doesn't count, right?....along with any other sung lyrics?
DE, you do the work keeping up with this and handling the criticism very well. Whatever you want is good by me. I figure if I last another 3 years, we will have done everything including all of the animal species. Which ain't bad either, a dog off? We could also do a bird off. But we can't do our favorite Jack's.I was kinda hoping we would do Best Movie Quote. Whatever. Anyone have a new idea for selecting 'an' idea for a tournament?

BRACKETS???!!!!!!???
i thought you hated them?
now you want BRACKETS???!!!!!???
I can name at ,least 32 George Strait songs from the 80's and I'm not even a big fan.lotta great country tunes to pick from.
i had to chop my "just off the top of my head" list from 55.
but its in the can...ready for daylight if that is the next one.
Brackets? Guilty as charged. Specific regions within brackets? nah. I do not like them quite as much.I don’t like them but @DallasEast insists on them!
IF best movie quote is chosen for the next tournament or one down the road, should movie quotes be used exclusively instead of including movie conversation quotes in the mix also? Allow me to clarify if I am not being clear to anyone reading my preferred nonsense.
For me, a movie quote is a line or lines of dialogue spoken by one character in a movie like this famous example:
On the other hand, a movie conversation involves lines of dialogue between two or more characters in a movie like this:
Please note, I LOVE movie conversations. There are movies that I can recite dialogue between multiple characters by heart. Nobody get me started on Aliens because I would not stop. However, I have always felt there was a difference between the two even though I know some movie lovers do not think the same.
My personal preference is a movie quote only tournament. In other words, a line or lines of dialogue delivered by a single character in a certain movie scene. Thoughts?
I agree and disagree. Quote yes but there are great movie quotes more than a sentence long. There is one in particular I have loved since the moment it was first uttered.Movie quote only and hopefully just a sentence......we don’t need a paragraph.

Let me see if I can google it. I will more than happy to deducted it from my probable 32 nominees whenever I post the full list.
Difference in opinion. Billy Crystal's lines was a movie quote for me. I feel the same about Meg Ryan's lines also. However, I think the combination of both characters' delivered quotes as a movie conversation. Here is my example of a multi-line movie quote:A small paragraph might be okay but that clip from WHMS is a scene IMO, not a quote.
