Cowherd is one of the biggest fakes in the media. Go back to 2016 and he was singing Dak praises daily.

All he does is play up to the current narrative and people eat out of his hand because he delivers his spew so well.

I've learned long ago to stop watching shows like Cowherd's because he might sound convincing, but in reality he doesn't know crap. Will the Cowboys move on from McCarthy if they end up 5-12? Gee, what do you think????????

Getting Dak's deal done can spread his cap hit across future years and open up a lot of cash. Plus the cap will only increase in years to come. The Cowboys can pay all of those guys so long as they leave room for restructures. We know Parsons, Lamb, and Diggs aren't going anywhere for a long time so the Cowboys can backload their deals and keep the window open for at least another four years.

But doesn’t overpay for above average guys (Ced Wilson, Connor Williams, Connor McGovern etc)

Don’t know how you can see it as half shut coming off back to back 12-5 playoff seasons with a playoff win. The Cowboys won four games with a backup QB last season. The last time I can remember them doing that was during the 91 season. They also won a playoff game that season and went on to win the Super Bowl the following season. There’s a lot to look forward to going into this season. If they take a step back then I’ll agree the window is half shut, but right now it’s wide open.
