I don't get the crab-leg thing.

And I like crab... But geez to do all that friggin work to get a hair-sized filament of crab meat...

I mean for me to get filled up it would take the better part of an evening and I'd need a pail full of'em.

Ah... No.

Instead just pile some crab meat next to a lobster tail, I'll pay $30 and call it a night.
You can get a good feed from King Crab legs. I was in Dutch Harbor a few times and the King Crab legs were very filling!

I couldn't stop watching this for like 5 minutes  Too funny! Maryland's known for their crabs but didn't know they were described as sweet; appreciate the info tbh. Never been past NY, etc. Love em myself after being scared to eat them as a kid, was missing out obv.
LOL. Glad you enjoyed it. My Pop always described Maryland crabs as having sweeter meat when I was younger. Till I had the crab clusters & Alaskan Kings, I didn't know what he meant. The meat is much sweeter. And to top it off, there's nothing like drinking an ice cold beer with them either. Now that's heaven.

Here's the thing, a restaurant is going to try to keep their cost of food at about 30% so you put crab legs on there and those that go for such things are probably going to eat more than $3,00 worth (at cost)... Probably looking at more like $25 for all you can eat crab legs (at least).

A place here local offers crab legs on Wednesdays... 6 clusters with a potato & side for $26.

The local casino use to offer all you can eat crab legs for $18.99 as part of their buffet but they eliminated that a couple years ago... Simple took crab legs off the menu. My guess is crab legs have probably rocketed up in wholesale price.

I'm a big eater and I'm not sure I ate 30 bucks worth of crab legs when we used to go to the casino, things are rich/filling, but If I did I'm sure I made up for it at the craps table, ha..which is the whole point
But it was legs, boiled crawfish, all other kind of stuff my Lipitor had to work overtime for.ha
