Twitter: Crawford: Witten and Escobar talk the most trash on offense

I like the fact that Linehan and Det. where very high on Escobar and were hoping to draft him before Dallas ended up taking him I think Linehan will look to get him involved in the game plan. at 6'06" and now a bit more bulked up I'm expecting to see a big improvement with Escobar.

I feel like they misused him last year. They didn't draft him, because he was a good TE, they drafted him for the mismatch for the defense.

I agree and I think they could have used him better in certain situational instances. I do think it is important that he is not weak at blocking and that will have an impact on snaps you get at TE, he does not have to become a great blocker but you can't be a weak link in blocking either.

Witten's got a little Larry Bird in him.

All quiet and stoic looking on camera, but jaw-jacking under his breath the whole game.

He's been my favorite current player since the day he joined the Cowboys. I loved the guy at Tennessee and he was the one guy I was wanting in that particular draft. I was so glad Dallas got him.

What the heck has Escobar done to be talking trash? He might want to start making more plays first.

I'd be talking trash too if I had to line opposite our anemic, weak so-called secondary or linebackers.

Oh, i'd talk trash regardless. heh

Sooner or later, it's going to dawn on people that Escobar makes a fair number of plays for his role, and they'll get by their resentment of the player for no other reason than their frustration with where he went in the draft.

Any other seconde year player who's playing well enough to talk some smack we'd normally be pretty happy about. Wilcox is a case in point. You can't talk if you're not making plays on the field, so if Escobar is talking, it stands to reason that's probably a good thing right about now.

The dude knows he's good. So do most of the informed fans in here and everywhere else. Just because they didn't get him the ball that much last year don't mean the kid is not any good.
