The fact that Eric Fisher has already turned down nine offers by various teams is a clear-cut signal that he's expecting a big payday or nothing. Seems highly unlikely that the Dallas Cowboys will be inclined to make such a costly deal in consideration of their current position. They're involved in the probability that they'll be obliged to cater to signing Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons in the 2023 year yet to come. That's, quite obviously what protecting their 20 million dollars under the cap prohibits them from making major commitments at this juncture.
They've made contact with Andrew Whitworth lately, who retired last year. He's saying that it's up to his family to make the decision as to what he should do. Evidently, he's avoiding making such a decision without his wife and kids agreeing to allow that to happen. I would only imagine that the Dallas FO is serious about making him some offer of an undisclosed nature at this time. His recent comment on the matter said the Cowboys are "talking to the wrong person," meaning that his family will be in charge of that decision. H-m-m.
Obviously, it leaves things up in the air, ideally, to be determined at some point soon. Of course, time is of the essence, with the regular season beckoning, just around the corner. I'll venture a guess that Andrew Whitworth might be a good candidate to replace Tyron, if circumstances allow. Stay tuned, folks! Anything is possible, from the looks of things.
