of course they will look internally, every team would start internally - stupid comment.....but once they realize they dont have an internal solution they will go externally.

Twitter cracks me up
The reality is, Dallas knew this was coming. In camp, week 1, week 5? Eventually

McGovern has been getting the most reps at LG. They will slide Smith to LT. They will continue to let Ball and Waletzko play the swing tackle

Expect to see Smith at LT in the next preseason game....good chance to get a good look at him.. If they are still playing Ball at LT then you know its gonna be a FA signing.

I don't think Wynn is the long term answer. I wouldn't give up more than a 6th round pick for him. The Cowboys will need their draft picks to find Tyron's replacement.

From what i gathered all points to Tyler Smith eventually moving out to LT. He was supposedly thought to be the long term answer.
For hey just wanted to plant him inside immediately to the needy LG role.

i would think if anything, we will need to eventually search (yet again) for the next LG starter

I don't think Solder is. He looked pretty bad last year from my recollection.

Don't know about the other two.

Reportedly Fisher gave 9 sacks last year, during his stint with the Colts. Need less to say, they did not welcome him back .
Those achilles tendon injuries maybe just as difficult to recover and return to form as ACL injuries.

He's a former pro bowler, but clearly he's just not near the same player prior to that injury.

He is dealing with knee and pec injuries as well

Chaz Green gave up 8 sacks in a game.

Get Jason peters ( if he passes physical ) as stop gap and Tyler smith practice LT position , mid season we can switch and make Peters as swing tackle .

On the bright side, if we can muddle our way through Sept-Oct +, maybe we will actually have a healthy TSmith at the end of the season when he’s normally beaten up.
He isn't coming back. He's Mr. Glass, not AP.

The Cowboys should trade for a tackle and sign one as well. The problem is Uncle Scrooge and Donald think they know better. This is gonna be like 2020 everything will stay in house with the offensive line.
first off in 2020 we lost dak week 4-5, didn't matter about the OL but we had far too many OL injuries and lineups to overcome and coverup.

IT DID NOT Matter..

can we stop comparing seasons,

they aren't scrooges, you checked the payroll of late also 2018 they gave 1st for cooper. It was far different situation in 20 once you lose your qb its over..
back to those with common sense and want to have discussion...

want to call them names rip them for things they do once the season starts and not before hand, the prejudgment and name calling of our FO is premature but that not first for you i suspect.premamture... :lmao2:

did cinci protect their QB when he was getting demolished all year? rhetorical answer is NOPE

we have had draft picks over the last 5 years to replace Tyron, and up until the other Smith was just drafted we have pretty much ignored the position and have tried to put lipstick on a pig instead.....
we needed them in other areas just stop you are NOT a GM.

The Cowboys have a top 10 defense and a top 10 quarterback so we still are the favorites to win the East. I just don’t like that we did not get a quality swing tackle when everyone knew that was only a matter of time before Tyron gets injured. The Joneses take an L with that decision.

and still other areas needed to be addressed lets move forward they have time to get help ..BTW TS 77 isnt replaceable easily see what weve done with Fredrick, LG ?? you dont dial up a player like TS77 just going after a LT in the draft,, they will go TRY do that this offseason im sure,

oh and lasty this is why smith73 Ball, waltezgo all brought in..not like they weren't trying, just weren't being aggressive in the first 2 rounds..

we have 2 weeks do calm down.
