I would not be surprised if Ajayi is our pick at 27

For starters, Ajayi should almost certainly be available at our 2nd round pick. Additionally, I have him ranked as my biggest potential bust of all the top 10 RBs... so I hope we don't pick him in any round. There will be better RBs than Ajayi available both at our 1st, 2nd and maybe even 3rd pick.

Oh, well if YOU have him ranked as the biggest potential bust of all the RBs, who are the Cowboys to say differently.....

What was I thinking? I don't own a team! Thanks for clearing that up with such an original response.

The C'boys staff took the time and trouble to wine and dine Ajayi after his recent visit lately. They reportedly were extremely impressed with his workout. There's also an outside chance he'll be available to them in the 2nd round if he falls a bit. I seriously doubt they'll take him at #27, though. They're usually pretty conscious about "value" picks. If he's unavailable, Coleman is another that could easily be attractive to them. He's supposed to be "arguably the most complete RB available in the draft." Should be interesting . . .

The thing that I like about Coleman is that as his carries increased year over year, so did his YPC average. Seems like a good bell cow RB.

I am hoping against hope that Gurley is ours in the first. Or a certain RB from the Vikings is signed.

There will be a huge run on RBs in the top of second round. I can see with our picks 27 and 60 that we could miss out on Gurley and Gordon in the first and miss out on Coleman,Ajayi and Johnson in the second

I dunno where he's supposed to go but Id like to use a 2nd on him. Add defensive talent in the first.

If Gurley was still on the board at 27, I would take him. Other than him, BPA which is probably going to be defense. I don't think high quality DL talent will still be there though. It goes in a hurry.

I think we trade back at 27 and pick up a second and a third. We use our first pick in the second on Ajayi. That is what I hope. I love Ajayi.

Unless we're trading with our own Jerry, that would be a high 2nd and 4th for #27.
But your point still applies....trade down if we want Ajayi.

My guess is that good RBs will be available in Rounds 2-4 anyway.

If Gurley is miraculously there at 27, I'm in
