Living in Boise and having season tix to BSU, here is my honest assessment of Ajayi: He has 3 down back strength, toughness and natural receiving skills. Contrary to other reports, he played behind a good offensive line, so his numbers (28 TDs) might be inflated. His two biggest weaknesses are fumble prone and bounces WAY too much outside. His biggest challenge on the pro level will be keeping it in the hole and taking the 4 yards. If he can do that, he is tough enough to get the "dirty" yards. He had big runs, but I would not put him in the Gordon-Abdullah-Coleman camp for game breaking speed. That being said, I put him in the Gurley-Yeldon-Allen camp for workhorse ability. If we don't go Gurley in first (or trade for AP), I would be fine with him or Yeldon in the 2nd or preferably a trade down to high 3rd. To make our offense work like last year, we need a dynamic and tough runner, so I would not wait beyond 3rd to take one.
