I wouldn't mind Runyan as insurance only.

I was thinking the same thing! Plus he know's the DE's in this division really well.

Only if there is a clause in the contract that he has to shave those arms!!!!!

Or play the triangle in Free Reign since bbgun won't do it.

No, I just didn't get it. I think you attempting to be funny and then just failed miserably. That's why I said to let me know.

Tauscher Not Likely to Return to GB?
by Adam Caplan of ScoutNFLNetwork.com, March 26, 2009 at 11:43am ET

Mark Tauscher Profile

Veteran ORT Mark Tauscher is coming back from major knee surgery and Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy was asked by Sirius NFL Radio's Alex Marvez whether the team had any interest in re-signing the veteran lineman.

"Well, he got hurt late last season and it's a serious injury so it would be wishful thinking whether he would be ready for training camp," McCarthy said this week at the NFL owners meetings.

Tauscher, who turns 32 in June, suffered a torn ACL during Green Bay's Week 14 game last season on December 7.

and why do we need another tackle again? We don't need anyone else added to the roster. We have Free and McQuisten after Adams and Columbo.

I doubt that is true. From most accounts, Brewster was going to need to improve his strength and conditioning - that's a classic formula for being a game day inactive week in and week out.
I agree, but we at least need another camp body to take some reps:star:

We have Free, McQuistan, Turkovich - I expect none of these guys would mind extra reps one bit.

Levi Jones
Kwame Harris (hell no)
Jason Fabini (please no)
Jon Runyan
Ephraim Salaam
Though probably a big "NO" but if Jon Runyan were like 2-3 years younger, I'd take him. As much as I hated him as an Eagle, as a player, I liked his aggressive nature. Seems like the kind of older guy that'd make good depth..

Can Runyan play Guard? I'd sign him to START at RG and move Bigg to LG. That way Runyan would be our swing on the right side and Bigg would be the swing on the left.

That solves the problem of Proctor at Guard I think. If Kosier and/or Holland can backup at center, then no more Proctor, period.

Yes, a solid OT like Runyan is going to jump at the chance to come here and play a new position -- I'd bet he'd do it for a minimum salary too?

Then we are going to get guys who never played C to be the backup!

Bat, you are GM material.
