Ya a mild surprise.

It is who I would have released between he and Ridge. I think Ridge, by the end of the year, will be a much better player than Watkins.

Deciding factor along with being a pick.

Surprised by the Brandon Smith cut. I thought he looked like a real NFL WRs. I was sure they would keep him at least until Washington gets back. I hope the sign him to the practice squad. I can see him not clearing waivers.

But like the guys announcing the game Friday night pointed out, every team has players they are hoping clear waivers and every team wants their own guys back so in reality almost all waived players will clear waivers.

Both Davis and Dowdle are JAGs. You can find running backs of their ability without too much issue. I wouldn't lose any sleep if either of them get away.
