So us being a 1 seed at home is the same as Rodgers doing this to spare teams like Detroit, Chicago and Minn? Heck, even Seattle's defense is not that good these days.

If your expectations as a 1 seed at home is that of those teams listed, I don't know what to say. Mine were higher than that. I expected more plays to be made. Heck, about the only time we were able to stop Rodgers is when he was just missed on some passes. Hardly anything to do with what we did besides a few times.

You win the 'high expectations' contest.

I didn't see us as a dominant team. Good enough to win, absolutely, but not good enough to be anything more than a toss-up against a team with a strong air force.

We have a chance to become a dominant team...one with a top five offense and top ten defense. We just aren't there...yet. We might have two players that are above average on defense...and four or five starters below average.

Offense? The Packers forced us to punt twice through the whole game! Add in the play where Hyde got a superhuman read and picked off that pass...they stopped us three times.

Three times! Rookie quarterback and rookie running back and we scored in all but 3 possessions.

That was a legendary comeback and a legendary game. Epic performance. Green Bay got one more possession than we did and they capitalized. Oh well. I am proud...even delighted at how our boys played.

There may be some bitter fans here but I'm not one. Boys did some balling.

Meanwhile the Giants crapped on themselves.
both teams lost, both one and done, that is all that matters.
Giant had to play in GB in 11 degree cold too.

We ranked 24th in defensive passer rating against a schedule of QB who ranked an average of 19th when we faced them. Don't burn them all, but at least make enough improvements so that we don't have another bottom 10 season in DPR.

And don't compare the performances of the Viking/Seahawk/Giant defense to ours last Sunday. Those teams' offenses could not stay on the field, so their defenses were gassed. Something our D did not have to deal with.

Offensive Drives of 4 plays or less vs. Packers
Seahawks 7
Vikings 7
Giants 8
Cowboys 2

yeah let t-Ro explain our O's slow start, and not getting the ball to elliot more, not running more, the spike, time mgmt,
getting caught with 12 men on the field, butler in the huddle etc etc,
I blame the coaches not our players.

I agree. The way the Cowboys started that game Sunday was inexcusable. They did exactly what everyone said they could not do if they were going to have a legit shot to win. Start flat. Get down big early. You can get away with that to a degree against lesser competition in the regular season. But not against elite QBs in the playoffs.

Kudos for the comeback and making a game of it in the second half. And Kudos to the defense for tightening up in the second half.

But its like Sean Lee said. Its a 4 quarter game. And you have to show up and play well all 4 quarters. Not perfect. But play well. Especially in the playoffs. And the Cowboys did not do that.

That is on the coaches. For lack of preparation and game-planning.

We got out-coached. Again.

I can't believe those Packers put 30+ points on us. Fire Marinelli. Cut everyone on the defense. Burn them all!

Excuses seem to be coming out is the woodwork. It was an embarrassing performance yet again. Not only by the team who came out looking unprepared but on the coaching staff whi was overmatched yet again.

A familiar theme these past few years especially in the playoffs.

Tired of it. Tired of the coaching staff getting a free pass. I don't see this team winning anything special with Garrett as HC...just don't.

We needed to start fast and instead, they started fast. Putting us behind the 8-ball. We need a pass rusher but if we were to go into next season with only the addition of Jaylon Smith and Charles Tapper, I'd like our chances to make the Super Bowl.

Half way through the 2nd quarter GB had 21 points on the board.

From then until the final 2 minutes of the game they only scored 7 points.
Maybe we can get new players and coaches fro the start of the game and put our guys back in halfway through the 2nd quarter.

All I can say is that its going to be a barn burner in ATL Sunday. ATL may hang 40 on them for the win. The Green Bay D is limping, especially at DB.

Its been a long time since I've seen a defense as visibly gassed as the the Packers in the 2nd half of game on Sunday -- absolutely running on fumes.

Errybody to this listen to this guy too. He called the season exactly. Well I mean his record prediction had 13 and 3 in it but they were backwards for some reason.

Of course it doesn't make you crazy, but it does make your appraisal a bit off.

Our defense hasn't played that great in '16 and has inferior talent at four or five positions. Marinelli hid a lot of weaknesses through scheme, guts and duct tape. Pass defense was ranked 23rd.

DLaw had one sack all season (1!), could barely play with a back that will need surgery...and was going up against one of the best o-lines in the business. Irving has had two big games but both against backups.

We need 3, 4...maybe 5 players on defense. Jaylon and Tapper could be two. We get two or three good ones in the draft and free agency...we're in business.

We lucked out with Dak and Zeke in the same backfield with Dez playing wideout. If they ruin THEIR window with not drafting defense and making it a focus in FA, I'm calling in a bomb threat to the star.

Don't think Rogers cared too much about our seeding.

That list of victims includes some of the best defenses in the league--better than ours. For anyone remotely surprised about what the Packer offense was able to do...what were you thinking?
That we would outscore them and win the game TBH...
