its not an excuse if its true...they were played WAY off the LOS and the first team did very little (if any) blizting or stunting

doesnt excuse the poor tackling or the so-so run defense, but they were extremely vanilla on the first team...the backups blitzed alot more

It's easier for the offense to play better when defenses run simplified schemes.

Might want to check a couple ridiculous penalties too.

That was about as basic a defense you will ever see this team play.

They had no enthusiasm at all tonight, brad sham said it best they looked like a team that couldnt wait to get on the plane and get home. It was affecting their play.

Zach thomas and marcus spears were great though.

How is it an excuse?

Folks were complaining that we didn't get any pressure on the QB.

Well, you can't do that in any defense if you just straight up rush four every time.

No stunts...no blitzes....

We played poorly....but again, it seems our coaching staff is almost setting our players up for failure.
