At least our special teams looked better.

I'd definitely leave him at DE, from what I have seen in these two preseason games he's been the best DL by far

I know there have been complaints about the penalites.
But the first two big ones were just terrible.
The first, on Columbo was awful...sorry....if the officials do their jobs, that doesn't happen. Columbo was protecting his guy. The play before, you saw three Denver players pile on TO well after the play was over. One even seemed to take a swing. The officials were slow on their whistles.
Next play, the same thing is happening...Yea for Columbo for protecting our guys. Better to take fifteen yards, than to lose a guy to injury.
The second call....was just crappy officiating. Brady James was the "culprit" not Tank. He did not make a late hit. He was already committed.
Romo has played poorly this whole last week. I don't know what's up with him. It's been a while since we've heard about him being sharp. He missed a wide-open TO on the first drive...and a wide-open Hurd for a TD.
I wonder if something's up with him?
Kilyin;2196482 said:Denver didn't blitz that often, we just weren't blocking well. You really think Shanahan is going to bring out anything exotic during preseason?
theebs;2196502 said:I didnt say blitzing

ScipioCowboy;2196640 said:Your point concerning Romo is valid. During practice this week, he's reportedly struggled connecting with the deep ball. I have no idea if this is a recent development or if we're just now noticing it because he's playing against another team's defense in practice--a defense that doesn't leave ten yards of empty space around the receiver.

I know, I know...it's preseason.
Agreed. I think we're gonna kick some Texan butt come Friday.theebs;2196675 said:Kind of missing the guy who was doing it in camp.
Seeing that spencer, canty and newman didnt play tonight and the untimely penalties I have no worries from anything I saw.
Hopefully and probably by design we will see some press and blitzing from the defense come friday. I dont think they will be flat on friday and I dont think they are just going to play straight up like tonight again.
