This is a gigantic mistake...... should have learned from DWare....... could have saved almost as much with a simple restructure

He could have been traded at worst....he will sign elsewhere quickly and he will play for 5-6 more years like ABoldin

Dallas got Dez for Romo. It was a good match and the idea of Romo playing until 40 probably got Dez the extension as much as anything else. Dez isn't a good match for Dak.

Just a bad front office all around. The team completely overvalues guys like Tyrone Crawford, Jeff Heath, Jason Garrett.

Can't get anything in return for players with actual value..Orlando Scandrick, Dez Bryant, DeMarcus Ware

The organization lacks real leadership and removes anyone who makes the supposed leaders feel uncomfortable.

I'm embarrassed as a fan.

The extreme stupidity amongst us is showing today. Cowboys fans are the worst. You don't deserve the Championship that is coming soon.

I was not a fan of cutting dez simpley because it creates a hole to fill when we have so many holes to fill
I have no problem moving on from dez, just thought it was smarter to wait a year, fix the defense this year and address WR next year
This draft has no super star WR prospects
But there are some good #2 types
Wonder if Ridley will get 88

I think the idea is that Dak is a correct-read, spread it around guy so you don't need the star #1.

Plus there are a ton of solid WRs we can add in the first three rounds of this draft.

But its still a mistake unless there are hobo graves in Dez's backyard.

I am not sure moving on from him is the worst thing here.

But they clearly mismanaged the process. By the end, they had stripped him of any trade value he might have had.

why would anybody trade for him knowing we were going to release him??? There was no way he was going to take a pay cut and there was no way Dallas would let him stay with a $16.5M cap hit. He will sign quickly and will be somebody else's problem now.

I agree, he'll probaly end up in Philly and get to the SB, soo
Lucky Dez, good thing for him and not so much for us. He'll play for an organization that wants to win

Do you really believe there is another team in the league that would be willing to take on Dez's contract?

If he really wanted to be here he could have said he would play for less money. So it isn't all the Jones' choice that he is no longer here. Plus he had the choice to catch a bunch of balls that he dropped last year, has had the choice to work with a route guru before this off season, etc.
