They need to bring in someone. But what player gets released at that expense. Booth? But then they need to bring up another CB, like #27.
so another player still needs to go.
Deuce? As they can use Leupke more.

Once or twice a game maybe. His value is roaming the perimeter and underneath. Have you not been watching?
What good is any of that if the QB has all day to throw. Pressure in passing moments is more essential than anything else. From what I've been WATCHING we don't have anyone else who can get pressure on a QB outside of Lawrence and Parsons.

Cut either Tyrus Wheat or Carlos Watkins. Both are backup DEs who hardly see the field. Move one of them down to the practice squad.

Another thing, Trey Lance is useless and occupying a roster spot.

Agree with the top line. Those would be good moves.

Disagree about Trey. Some fans still trying to get rid of him.

Lance is occupying a roster spot. You can cut him right now since no other team is in need of a QB. As soon as he passes waivers in 24 hours, plug him to the practice squad and tag him as 1 of the 3 who can't get picked up by another team. That would save the team another roster spot.

And neither of them have been doing it this season. Keep 13 where he is needed. Rush him very seldomly. They’re gonna have to figure out how to get pressure with Kneeland and whoever else.

Honestly we should just let Overshown blitz. We don't have any other defender that is explosive. Kneeland can fill Lawrence's spot. This sucks
No send 35. We need Overshown out in space. He and Lewis are the only sure tacklers I trust in space one on one

Jerry needs to bring in Randy Gregory if he's still in decent shape. He is 31 years old and not much wear-n-tear.

"By the end of the 2020 season Randy Gregory had become the second most impactful defensive lineman on the team. In ten games Gregory racked up 3.5 sacks, 16 QB pressures, 12 QB hits, and three forced fumbles while playing under 40 snaps in eight of the ten games he played in."

As a rotational piece, the Cowboys could possibly get better production from Randy Gregory than they could from whomever is currently available on the team.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. The Cowboys certainly are desperately needing help right now at DE. Such a move could help them salvage the season and make the playoffs, giving time got both Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence to heal properly and come back in 4 - 6 weeks. Making no move (staying with the status quo) could end this season and any playoff hopes.

Make the call to Randy Gregory, Jerry! To heck with what the fans think. Now is the time to put on your big boy GM pants and make the call to try to help this team salvage this season.

Randy Gregory (2020): Cowboys

Randy Gregory (2021): last season with Cowboys

Randy Gregory (2022): Broncos

Randy Gregory (2023): Broncos/49ers

You smoking the same weed Randy is? You have gone off the deep end

Lawson is likely to be activated from the practice squad, according to something I've read lately. We'll probably see him in practice.

Our best bet is to scour practice squad rosters unless we’re willing to do something big like trade for Reddik which I don’t see as a real possibility.

10 "temporary" potential replacements for Parsons (and D-Law) includes Randy Gregory among candidates

With Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence suffering serious lower leg injuries (expected to miss several weeks each) against the Giants, plus having lost DE Sam Williams for the season while losing all of their other backup DEs to free agency, the Dallas Cowboys might need to consider looking outside the organization for help.

Here’s a list of players who are available in free agency, after Yannick Ngakoue signed with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday.

  • Marquis Haynes
  • Shaq Lawson
  • Kemoko Turay
  • Austin Bryant
  • Randy Gregory
  • Rasheem Green
  • Shane Ray
  • Elerson Smith
  • Rasheem Green
  • Frank Clark
One name in particular is Randy Gregory, who was drafted by Dallas back in 2015. Gregory had been suspended multiple times for running afoul of the league’s marijuana policy before those bylaws were lifted. He was recently with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was released after an extended unexcused absence from the team.

This article lost all credibility with the mention of Randy Gregory.
