Just for the record, this is what the rambling, lip-smacking drunk had to say:

"I would anticipate, with looking ahead at our key contracts that we'd like to address, we will be all-in," Jones said at this year's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on Tuesday. "I would anticipate we will be all-in at the end of this year. We will push the hell out of it. It will be going all-in on different people than you've done in the past. We will be going all-in. We've seen some things out of some of the players that we want to be all-in on. Yes, I would say that you will see us this coming year not build for the future. It's the best way I've ever said. That ought to answer a lot of questions."

This gif is fitting. The Jones family and Mathew Broderick peaked about the same time and have never returned to glory.

Jerry can say … good morning … and fans will start the hate comments.
Because he would not say "good morning" ........ he would say "this is the best morning in Cowboys history and we are (lip smack) gonna do some really great things today to make this team even better, get ready"

and then resign Hooker or something.

Why does everyone assume these guys are always drunk? Do you really think they would live as long as they have if they were constantly drunk?

Dumb yes...drunk no

I can picture Stephen and Jerry in Las Vegas during Super Bowl week hitting the casinos. Jerry is about to start walking toward the high roller tables at the MGM and is about to get busy gambling. Before Jerry can take his first step Stephen grabs him by the arm and suggests they leave the strip and go downtown to the cheap casinos where they have $5 blackjack and penny slots.

That is Dallas in free agency. We gamble at the $5 blackjack table and penny slots.

Stephen: " Look guys, we want to do just enough to keep this team legit." "If we go all in and miss, dad will lose money and the seats won't be filled'. " This is a business first guys!"

Stephen pretty much poo-pooed Jerry's promises to go "all in" for the upcoming season. It throws dirt on Jerry's "all in" speech, to be sure! Seems like Stephen is suggesting that he's bold and in control when it comes to future plans! It's like Jerry's been relegated to being washed up.
Back to the old ways of mini-moves in the offseason! :omg: (Looks like "April Fools" Day is here early this year!) :muttley:

Don’t worry Stephen. After the last 3 decades of quotes and results from you and your pop, Cowboys fans don’t believe anything you say anyway. You could say the sky is blue and I would double check anyway while simultaneously checking to see if my wallet is still in my pocket.
So true. Will be waiting on the spin for the Wiffs in free agency. An annual tradition.

But Jerry Jones said "We are going all in this year!"

How can the fans twist that?

In this case ...... the twisting seems to be from the ones trying to defend these two clowns ......."uhhhhh they did not mean it like that"
Exactly. And I didn't believe Jerry anyway. The guy's been lying for 30 years.

Im not worried
We got Dak
I mean we have several players who want Max pay for thier espective positions who seem to disappear in the playoffs..the sick part is the guy who is going to give it to them is literally saying "Yeah I'm gonna pay those players big money, then i need to go find players who will step up in the playoffs!"...WTTF

“We gotta get the right kinda guys who step up and make big plays in the postseason.”

Yep, they are right there in the fifth round of every draft Stephen.
And the Jones boys still think they are the “right kind of football guys“ when we have three decades of evidence to the contrary.

More like drunk on their own hype. I’ve never seen a sports franchise more hyped than the Cowboys. And those guys still can’t seem to grasp that winning playoff games is the greatest hype you can ever gain.

In fact, winning playoff games is exactly what originally made this franchise ”America’s Team” over a decade before anyone had ever heard of Jerry Jones.

He didn’t even say “We’re going all in this year.” When he was talking ”all in” in regards to a question he meant signing his own top tier free agents. The Cowboys have never gone all in. Do you sacrifice 3 or 4 years of mediocrity after going all in for the chance to win the Super Bowl? Just for the chance? You can argue both sides of the question.
No we don't sacrifice 3 or 4 years of mediocrity for the chance to win a superbowl. Instead we mire in it for going on nearly 30 years without getting anywhere.

At this point I would just love to see them try something else. Succeed? Great. Fail? Oh well, at least they took a different approach and its not the definition of insanity. I don't see how anyone can defend the same old same old year after year regurgitation, no matter what they say about it.

When he started talking about the salary cap my head was about to explode. Either learn how to manage it like everyone else or hire someone else to do so.

Anyone who thought this offseason would be any different than the last 28 hasn’t been paying attention. The Jones’s have zero intention of winning titles unless it can somehow be done cheaply

I want to see the reaction from the bots and homers: Jerry says all-in we are to support that even if we don't know what that looks like. When Stephen walks that back we are ALSO supposed to support that too?

People who take themselves more seriously than a tool will not be susceptible to taking BOTH SIDES of an argument...much less demanding others do the same.
