CZ meetup?

Do you guys think it would be fun to do a CZ members meetup at some point? It would certainly need to be post-pandemic because I would not want to put anyone's health at risk. The Spanish Flu pandemic eventually ended, and so will this one.

But this post is about the people here, not about the pandemic. IMO we have a lot of interesting people at CZ who've hung out and discussed our favorite team for years, and lots of other stuff, thanks to our Off-Topic board. At some point when it's safe, it might be fun to meet some of you guys. I did meet Jeffkills back when I lived in Idaho. Great guy. We watched some Cowboy games together. He had accidentally killed his lawn, and so I razzed him about it. LOL. But we hung out some when I lived there.

I've talked with a few people about it. There's one Zoner I've become friends with, who lives about an hour from me. He even installed new gutters on my house at a great price. Actually I met him through the old official site, but we both came here after it went belly up.

Are you talking about that site that ended up turning its discussion boards over to Sports 247? I used to go there, but then I didn't want to move to Sports 247 which I don't really like, so I came here. I forget the name of the page, but it used to be my go-to-guy Cowboys place.

No, it just stopped being there, period. There were a few months of issues with a new administrator, then we were warned by the mods that the place was going down, then it was just gone.

So.....(sniff).......heartless.

However, one door closes and another opens and we step through into a better place. I do miss some of the old crowd at that site (looks like we're Voldemorting this) because the magic is in the members. And we've got some magicians here. Some haven't learned to make themselves disappear very well.

It would be fun to get together and lay eyes and ears on posters I would prefer to be around more than a lot of the people I know.

I do think if we do set up a meet, we need to have an Ignore table set up. We could actually have two, an I Ignore You table and I Threatened to Ignore You Multiple Times table.

If the Rev is setting this up, I need advance notice of the dimension and/or era we will meet in and what's in vogue. I might be one of the elder members here but we never outgrow our need for a sound fashion sense.

Ya know what might be an alternative would be a Zoom meeting around the holidays. I would be up for that providing I am up for that and it's not scheduled during nap time. We could have a CZ Happy Hour. I'm good with any timeframe for that.

However, some may prefer the anonymity and mystery of not knowing what others look like but we could wear masks, looks like that might be coming into fashion as well.
