D.Ware getting no recognition for huge game

Ware is really all over the field, he nearly snatched Vick out of the air when Vick scrambled down field and just got by Ware in space, the guy is a beast and I'm happy he's here.

since we are talking about ware, and he did have a huge game, but in the second half there were several plays where he looked like he could blow past the rb to go after vick and instead ran right at the rb and lo9cked up with him. the first time i saw it i was like, why did he do that, then after he did it a couple more times and never tried to get around the rb i figured maybe it was his responsibility to keep the back from going out into a flat for a pass. Anyone else comment on this.

Also, his INT made the top 10 plays on NFL Live (#5). The Romo/TO touchdown also made the countdown (#9).

One thing Dallas was trying to prevent was Vick getting outside containment where he presents big problems. We had a spy up the middle but outside guys were not going to crash inside and allow Vick the room to get to the outside.

I do agree. And actually one on play, he pretended to give an all out rush, but he just held the Tackle in place, and when Vick tried to get to his left, Ware basically peeled off of the tackle and flushed Vick back inside.

Peter King praised him in today's column. Quit being a hyper-sensitive baby.

THERES NO DOUBT DEMARCUS WARE IS AN EXCELLENT PLAYER. ID DRAFT HIM 100 TIMES BEFORE LOOKIN TO SHAWNE MERRIMAN. IF PARCELLS WANTED TO UNLEASH HIM ON THE QUARTERBACK, THERE'S NOT A SINGLE DOUBT IN MY MIND HE'D BE SACK HAPPY, BUT PARCELLS HAS SAID IT PUBLICLY. HE WANTS A LINEBACKER AND ISNT COMPLETELY INTERESTED IN SACKS. OH aND LETS NOT FORGET THE 2 TD RETURNS. THE SECOND WON AGAINST ATLANTA WAS BIG, ANYONE CAN SACK THE QUARTERBACK, WE GOT A BUNCH OF PLAYERS WITH SACKS, BUT NOT MANY CAN PULL OFF THAT PLAY. NOT TO MENTION ONE OF THE FASTESTS GUYS IN THE LEAGUE WAS OUT THERE TO CATCH HIM, BUT DIDNT.

I watched part of the SD/KC game last night and had a good chuckle watching Mr. Merriman. The Chiefs got their best yardage running right at him because he overran the play and they just had to influence block him out of the way.

its too bad he doesnt read the FB coming out of the backfield.

parcells killed him last night for that.

every time it happened parcells went right to ware and gave him an earful.

I bet if D.Ware. puts together 2 strong performances the last two weeks (at least a monster one against the iggles on xmas), he will get a bunch of votes for defensive p.o.y. (nfc). Who else would you vote for right now? Urlacher (he could easily win another one, but god, give it to someone else please)? I honestly cant think of another NFC defensive player that is playing at a p.o.y. level in the nfc. Maybe Julius Peppers, but he has cooled off since starting hot. Plus, he doesnt have near the impact on turnovers that Ware does.

Ware had 3 tackles, 1 more assist, an interception for a td(incredible play) and a forced fumble.

.

actually the stat line I saw was 6 tackles, 1/2 sack, forced fumble that we did recover, amazing int for TD...he also caused the sack Hatcher got credit for

great game...Peter King had him as one of his defensive players of the week

Not one word on this board about him.
Not one article about him.

Not one espn mention of him.

However this board, radio shows and espn wont stop with owens dribble.

Espn bends over backwards for dawkins, who I think is a great player but never mention ware.

Ware is our best player. Ware is a game changer.

But all that is brought up is owens nonsense.

I nearly did, it was a huge game for him. This guy better make the pro bowl or I am going to be pissed off.

Good post. Although I'm not sure about the best player part ... but he's definitely on the two or three player short list.
