At what percentage does he complete them? How many passes is he throwing a game? Do defenses respect Tom Brady at all other depth levels? Can Tom beat you in every part of the field? Or did you give me an arbitrary fact without sourcing that you know is intentionally misleading?

Those numbers are the percentages of completions within 10 yards of total passed in 2017 which speaks directly to your assertion that Dak lives within 10 yards.

It's not a fact. It's a fact that many Dak apologists hate Romo and disparage him a great deal. There are also a ton of posters who were known Romo haters long before anyone knew who Dak was, so there is nothing to consider. It just is.

Are you really this sensitive about Romo that you're going to lie to yourself and others that it is not a fact that some fans actually just support the quarterback and team without any personal bias involved? Your inability to admit this, actually just exposes your lack of objectivity for what it is.

I think the drive leading up to the TD was encouraging. Without Elliott, we ran pretty well. Some good blocks at TE on the one long run. The TD was the icing on the cake. I'm not saying it was effortless, but....

I think you have some of that backwards. The biggest Dak apologists seem to be those who weren't high on Romo, and who like to think the QB is everything ("Dak won...", "Dak led...", He's this, he's that, etc.). Oddly, that seems to go out the window and it's full bore excuses when the outcome is poor. Not the most well reasoned lot.
Romo retired. Time to let it go. He had a fun ride.

Um it was a sweet play. He found the open guy and hit him. Gallop caught the ball. Why don’t people just agree on it.

That's not what the thread is about at all. It's about the OP not understanding what the criticisms of Dak are, distorting them, and trying to throw that play in Dak's critics faces in an effort to make them look foolish. It was an epic fail and backfired.

Exactly.

I’m happy we made a preseason TD
Yeah
:flagwave:

Cool seeing Gallop get his 1st
Im also very certain between 60-70 other current NFL QB and WR combos are capable of making that play occasionally.

Dak is better than most of them, so not sure why a 30 yard TD surprises people. I bet they make this throw every single day in warmups.

I think there might be three threads on this one basic pass
Its actually disrespecting Dak by making such a big deal out of a throw that so many can make.

It’s never gonna end. He will throw a game winning TD and these threads will open trying to throw things in Dak haters faces.

Dak will make a mistake and there will be threads opened trying to throw things in Dak lovers faces.

It’s gonna be a bumpy ride just like the Romo era if Dak sticks and gets the big contract.

The pass travelled more like 37 yards in the air. Either way, it was a very nice throw but hardly a career defining moment.

And just like the Romo era, this shows who knows what they are talking about and who doesn’t. The Romo haters were wrong and so are the Dak haters.

Your right, a NFL caliber QB has to be able to make that pass or they won’t be around long. Heck probly a college level. But it was great to see the connection is there. After wondering all TC. After hearing all this talk about Dak not throwing a single TD pass in practice. They looked good out there. Can’t wait to see the full compliment of players.

People really get worked up. But it was the same with Romo.

Just like with Romo, Dak is going to make some great plays and he is gonna make some mistakes.

The rookie year set the bar sssoooo high for this kid. Is there room to go up? Lol. No one has ever seen a rookie do this.

I wonder if there are brady haters on the pats boards?

If there are, they are a bunch of idiots. Brady is one of the GOAT QB’s ever to play. And he makes mistakes every game.

The Title post actually had nothing to do with Dak, it was a not-so-subtle shot at Dez. When the OP was corrected and informed that in fact Gallup did nothing but run (slowly) around a hapless cornerback and have the ball fall into his hands, the OP went on a drunken, multi-page rant.

Brady excels at every depth. Does Dak?

In 2016 most of his yardage cane from the 11-20 yard range where he had a 61% competition percentage. His competition percentage was above 66% from 21-30 yards. This was in a down year. If you look at 2016 it much better for all zones, including 75% from 21-30 yards. So yes, Dak is effective at every depth.
